It's In The Air
"General Bajee?" Ronay repeated. "He's not in right now. I think he's looking for Sir Nora."
"Alright," Melfia said. "Thanks for the help, Lieutenant-General."
Ronay nodded. "I'm sorry I couldn't have been more helpful, General Melfia."
The Fire Brigade General closed her eyes and shook her head slowly. She stopped, opened her eyes, and looked at Ronay. "Don't worry about it, alright? You have paperwork to fill out. So just leave me to finding Bajee so he can finish his paperwork."
Ronay looked concerned. "Are you sure? My paperwork isn't as important as the General's paperwork."
"I'm sure," the Fire Brigade General reassured. She knew why Ronay was being so persistent. "Just sit down and do your paperwork." With that said, Melfia turned around and walked out of the office.
The Wind Division Lieutenant-General stared at the open door. She wanted to search for Bajee as well. More so than Melfia did. Melfia was searching for Bajee because Governor-General Aide Kain asked her to. Ronay wanted to search for her General because she cared about him. But no one could see. No one could tell that Ronay had fallen deeply for him. For-
The door closed, causing Ronay to look up from the floor. She blinked.
"General Bajee!"
Bajee stood my the door, happily grinning, just like he always does.
"Uh, um…General Melfia is looking for you," the Lieutenant-General said.
"I know," Bajee said casually. "She found me and sent me back here." He looked up in thought. "She threatened me, in fact." The Wind Division General closed his eyes and sighed quietly. "I knew there was a reason as to why I don't necessarily care for her."
The Lieutenant-General bit her lower lip. If there was any chance to ask the question that's been nagging at the back of her mind, now would be the time. "General Bajee?" she asked quietly.
Bajee was sitting at his desk, looking over papers. "Yes, Ronay?" he replied without looking up.
"Who…do you care about?" she asked, quieter than the first questions, but still loud enough to be heard.
The Wind Division General blinked and set the papers he was holding back onto the desk. He looked up at his Lieutenant-General with a serious expression.
"N-N-Never mind I asked that. It was a silly question," Ronay said, her eyes were closed and she was smiling unsurely.
"Do you really wanna know?"
Ronay opened her eyes and looked away, blushing slight. "N-No, not really," she lied. She closed her eyes again. "But I have a feeling you're going to tell me, anyway."
Bajee grinning. "You know me too well, Ronay." He stood up. "Almost a little too well," the Wind Division General stated as he walked over to his Lieutenant-General. "But before I give you my answer, I want you to answer my question."
Ronay stared at Bajee, wanting to look away, but couldn't seem to do it. "O-Okay."
"Who do you love?" Bajee asked bluntly.
The wing-eared demon's eyes widened as she gasped quietly. She blushed even more, then looked away. "W-Well…I-I love…um…you see, it's um…"
"Ronay," the older demon said in a serious tone. "answer the question."
The younger demon sighed in defeat. "Y-You…" she said in a near whisper.
"Heh."
Ronay looked up at her General, who was grinning. "Yes?"
"Here's the answer to your question," he said, then leaned over, closed his eyes, and kissed Ronay on the lips.
Ronay's eyes widened.
Bajee broke away slightly, his eyes opened. "I love you," he whispered softly.
