Disclaimer: I am not J.K. Rowling. Shocker isn't it
This is basically to explain what Eastbourgh is, so it's not exactly a literary work of art.
It's just to inform you about what's going on, before the real story starts.
PROLOUGE
Have you ever heard of Eastbourgh Academy? Probably not. Eastbourgh Academy is basically the Hogwarts of America.
There are four houses, just like Hogwarts. The names have changed however. The four houses are: The Lions, Badgers, Eagles, and Serpents. The Lions are basically Gryffindor. Their mascot is the same, and the characteristics of the house are the same. It was this way for all the houses. The Badgers were basically Hufflepuff, the Eagles Ravenclaw and the Serpents Slytherin.
Everybody knew the names were changed so that people wouldn't feel bad about getting sorted into the Serpents/ Slytherin. However, in my opinion the Serpents is a worse name then Slytherin. Anyways, most students, call the houses by the names they are given at Hogwarts.
You may be wondering how I know so much about Eastborough. While, I just got accepted to go there. I'm Amber Johnson. I'm a Muggle-born, so I just learned about Eastbourgh. Before a few months ago, I thought wizards and wizards didn't exist and magic schools were fiction, a product of J.K. Rowling and the Harry Potter franchise. Now, I know the truth. Magic is real, and I will experience it first hand.
Eastborough just started this year. Before, American wizards usually sent their children to Hogwarts, or home-schooled them. But a few years ago, the NWAA ( The National Wizard association of America) voted to make a wizard school in America, and now it's complete. I will be part of Eastbourgh's first graduating class. A lot of American students from Hogwarts will be transferring to Eastbourgh, so their will be people of all years.
I'm leaving for Eastbourgh in a few days. I hope to get sorted into the Gryffindor Lions, but my friend Serena ( who I met while shopping for school supplies , she's going to be a first year too) thinks we'll both be Ravenclaw Eagles. Which would be cool too, it's my second choice. This book I'm writing is basically to tell you about what happens when I'm there.
Reviews make me happy, which means I'll update faster!
