"Salazar you evil scum where are you?" Godric bellowed, his voice rang through the now empty castle.
Salazar slithered his way towards his long time rival, "Gordic. How are you this fine-."
"Don't you DARE try to act like you've done nothing wrong you snake!" he unsheathed his sword. Rowena and he best friend Helga entered the corridor and found their two other friends.
"Godric! Salazar!" Rowena screamed. "What in Merlin's name is going on?"
"They look at the women, Godric's eyes blazing with anger, Salazar's cold as ice. Helga trembled and slightly hid behind Rowena.
"I was minding my own business when Godric came in and-."
"Don't LIE you evil, diabolical, atrocious man! You let that that thing run amuck in our castle!" Godric yelled.
Rowena looked at Salazar, "What thing?"
Salazar's eyes narrowed, "Our school deserves better that them Godric. I know you agree with me!" he hissed through tight lips.
"What thing?" Rowena screamed impatiently.
"That beast! That bloody basilisk!"
Helga gasped as Rowena froze.
"The…the basilisk?" Rowena whispered slowly, clenching her hands into fists. "You let such a creature run through these halls Salazar? Is that why you made all the students leave Godric?"
"Yes." He huffed. "I knew Salazar had been behind all the killings of the muggleborn students. How dare you do such a thing!"
Helga whimpered.
Salazar looked at his fellow founders, "Well if you don't like it then perhaps I should leave." He turned and fled.
"Good riddance!" Godric roared, lowering his sword. Helga looked at Salazar's retreating form and frowned.
Salazar made his way into the girl's bathroom and into the chamber. His basilisk appeared to have been waiting for his master's return.
"My pet. I must leave you. Do not fret. Someday my heir will return and finally purify this school." He patted it's head. Salazar quickly left and sealed the Chamber. Rain began to purify as Salazar made his way to the Hogwart's doors.
"Salazar?" a soft voice called behind him. He turned and saw Helga.
He laughed slightly, "You came to voice your anger as well? Go on, out with it then."
Helga shook her head, "No…I just wanted to tell you that no matter what the outcome is, always know that I'll always be your friend." She smiled sweetly.
Salazar's eyes widened slightly, he smirked, "I never thought of you as a friend. No…just a fellow founder. The weaker of us. Look at you. You know that my acts were evil, yet you still find it in your heart to call me your friend. How pathetic."
Helga tilted her head to one side, "What is? The fact that I call you my friend? Or the fact that I have such a big heart that I forgive someone who is blinded by evil intentions?"
Salazar looked at her, "I don't need to answer to you. You are beneath me."
"Why is that?" she asked. "I am a pureblood, and an excellent witch. Is it because I have a heart?"
Without another look Salazar left, "Thank you Helga." He whispered.
Helga's eyes widened, then slowly softened, "Good bye Salazar…" she whispered, heading back to her quarters.
