One odd day at the Phantomhive mansion….
"Sebastian!"
The young master of the mansion's voice echoed through the whole house. A clatter of dishes breaking sounded closely after Ciel's cry.
*Poor Maylene.* Sebastian thought as he made his way up the stairs to his master's bedroom. The demon knocked on the door twice before cracking it open.
"Yes, master?"
"Get in here!"
He fully opened the door and stepped into Ciel's bedroom. The blue-haired boy stood on the other side of the room in front of his closet door. His one clear dark blue eye glared at him.
"What is it, my lord?"
"Your damn pesky felines, that's what!" Ciel swung open his closet door revealing a black cat probably no older than 2 years batting one of Ciel's top hats. It looked up at Ciel and gave a quiet meow. Ciel just glared at the cat.
Sebastian sighed. He bent down to the floor and called the cat over. It bolted right to Sebastian and purred as he petted it.
"How did you get into young master's closet, Phantom?"
"Please keep your flee infested pets from destroying my clothes."
"He isn't flee infested. Must you be so cold hearted, young master?"
"I have a demon as my butler. That should give you some idea of how warm hearted I am."
Sebastian picked up the cat and let it run out into the hallway and then shut Ciel's door.
"How did it even get in my closet anyway?" Ciel said as he examined his favorite blue top hat that the cat had decided to use as a toy.
"Cats are sly and quiet. You would be amazed at the places they can hide."
Ciel turned around and faced Sebastian. He came up to his butler's shoulder now that he was 15. "If you put that cat in my closet-"
Sebastian gave Ciel that smirk and cut him off. "Now why would I do something like that, my lord?"
"Because you enjoy tormenting me."
"I wouldn't enjoy tormenting you so much if you didn't have such a temper." Sebastian replied, his smirk still perfectly in place.
Ciel huffed before turning around and putting his torn top hat on his nightstand. "Fix my top hat and then I want some French toast for breakfast with strawberries."
"Yes, my lord." Sebastian bowed and left the room to go prepare breakfast.
As he stepped out of the room, Phantom sat beside the door. Sebastian kneeled down and picked the cat up once more.
"Take care of him while I'm gone. Go find another top hat to play with." His red eyes glowed for a second and smiled. The cat meowed in response. Sebastian cracked open the door and Phantom slipped back into Ciel's room.
As Sebastian made his way down the staircase he heard a yelp and Ciel calling his name again.
"Nice work, Phantom."
Author's notes: This was something I just threw together. I haven't been able to update any of my stories lately because I've been moving and I felt the need to write something. So ta-da! Tell me how I did for writing it in 45 minutes.
