My first ever FanFiction! It's really short, but I hope you like it :) I was going to make a full story about it, but just I decided to just keep it as this.
Disclaimer: I unfortunately do not own Harry Potter :(
This was one of the many times that Rose wished her dad would let go of the past. She wanted to make him realise that people can change and not everyone is going to be the exact double of their parents. He wouldn't listen and it frustrated her. He had said many times that she had grown so much and he could still remember her cheeky toddler smile and rosy cheeks, but obviously she wasn't old enough make her own judgments about people. She wasn't allowed to talk to him full stop and it gave her no chance to see if he really was just as bad as her dad assumed he was. Rose wanted to find out for herself. Scorpius was different from his father and she wanted her dad to know.
"I told you not to talk to him and you think to yourself I think I'll become friends that sounds much better! Rosie why?"
" Dad-"
" And then you think it's fine to ask me if he can stay for a week and I'll-"
" DAD PLEASE LISTEN! He's different I swear why will not believe me? I mean he's in Gryfindor! Can't you bloody well see?"
"Rosie!"
Rose could feel tears coming. She hardly ever cried but she hardly ever disagreed with her dad either.
" I don't care dad! I don't care about how 'pure evil' Draco Malfoy was or how he was a death eater or how he, he you know, but I DON'T CARE! Scorpius IS different and if you won't listen then I'm going to my room and ignoring everyone!"
"Rose!" Rose walked normally out of the kitchen with a scowl on her face but slammed the door behind her trembling. Her mum was outside the door looking concerned. "Rose what's going- come here," she pulled Rose into a hug as she started to cry. Her muffled voice which could just be made out sobbed, "Scorpius! He won't listen mum! He's different..."
