They didn't hesitate to obliterate him, but where do Digimon go? Do they become nothing? Was he now nothing? He stared into the blinding light; it was like a heavenly light shining down upon and around him, shedding light upon his darkened thoughts. He had died for Seraphimon; the children could more than handle the situation at hand—especially since Ophanimon had chosen them to. But what, what if Seraphimon still needed him? He couldn't be there anymore; he thought he might shed a few tears, if nothingness was allowed to. Oh why had he been so weak? He couldn't do anything right, and it was in fact his entire fault that Seraphimon had been turned into that egg.
A flicker above him darkened his face with its shadow, slowly the figure moved closer, and closer. He felt vulnerable; he couldn't save himself even in death. That's what he was right? Destroyed, obliterated? The figure finally stopped face to face with him. He stared, amazed by the grace and majesty of this Digimon.
"Sera-," His voice caught as he was yanked into an unorthodox hug. "Mmph."
Slowly they parted again, and Sorcerymon stared into the eyes of his hero. But—why was he here? And not in the egg? Oh no, did he destroy all hope?
"You mustn't blame yourself, Sorcerymon."
"But—I ruined everything!"
"You, my loyal subject, must have more faith in the humans."
He stared with wonder, was Seraphimon admitting the humans to be stronger than him? He was legendary! Nothing short of a god! Yet, humans were to save the world? He must have lost it in this oblivion. Was he dreaming? He horrifically glanced away, was Seraphimon not here? Was he still alone in oblivion? This was good, so why did he feel so…wrong?
"Amazing…" Seraphimon spoke gently to him, he stared wide-eyed. "How can you think so clearly—even now?"
"Seraphimon…"
His hero began to fade back into the light, to abandon him for the rest of eternity. He has to save the world; Sorcerymon knew that, he couldn't hang around all day. At least, he knew, somewhere Seraphimon was safe. The humans had yet to fail. As Seraphimon finally evaporated completely he felt a slight wetness on the side of his face. He touched it, discovering tears. Could he leave this place? Had he once more become…something?
"Huh?" He stammered. "Ser-Seraphimon!"
