Okay, this is a small silly one shot in making. Shout out to Stardxst for the idea. JD finally learns the true meaning in life and finally, finally, learns to count. Language and murder warning, this is JD after all, he can't be writing with out them.

"Okay so how does it go again?" He stared at Veronica, irritated he hadn't gotten the hang of it yet. "It's literally 3, JD, what the heck" she said, exasperated. JD broke down in pathetic sobs akin to a toddler's cry. "But I don't know what 3 is!!" He blubbered, his eyes red from tears. Veronica sighed. This was going to be a long night.

"Okay, seventeen times a charm. 1, 2, 3." Veronica explained with fake patience. JD nodded though he had no idea what to do. "1, 2, FUCK IT!". He began to weep at his uselessness. "Who invented numbers, Veronica?" The answer came to Veronica as quickly as her name would, "Our modern numerical system has Arabic descent, though the Romans did have a system before them." JD's eyes lit up with a blazing rage, "TIME TO MURDER THE ARABIANS!" Veronica grabbed onto his trench coat as he went to stand, "JD, no, they're already dead!".

About seven hours later, JD was no further than earlier, still wanting to murder anyone related to the number 3, including Veronica at one point. He still screamed profanities when he came to the number. It just... didn't come off his tongue and the more he tried, the more stuck he became, like trying to get something out from between your teeth. Finally, he got mad. He stood up and screamed, "IM NEVER GOING TO LEARN THIS! I'M LEAVING IF YOU DONT INTEFERE IN 3 SECONDS!" Veronica said nothing. She was faintly amused by this, he can't count to three, how can he leave in three seconds? JD began counting. "1." Veronica didn't say anything, JD hadn't caught on to the fact he was literally counting to 3.

"2." JD seemed as though he might explode, outraged she hadn't said anything.

"3." JD then realised what he'd said. That mythical number. That unreachable reward. He could finally rest from his long quest of numbers!

He could finally count to 3.
