Anakin/Obi-Wan Confrontation
Part 1

"Anakin, listen to me. The dark side is poisoning your mind. If you don't leave it now, you might not be able to." I was seething with anger. Where did he get the idea that he could just abandon all the people that he had sworn to protect?
I heard the voice of my unfortunately dead master, Qui-Gon Jinn, in my mind. Anger is of the dark side. Let your anger go. I unclenched my fists, ridding myself of the anger that threatened to consume me.
"I don't have to listen to you. You're not my master anymore." The pure hatred in Anakin's voice made me shudder.
"But Jedi are supposed to protect the helpless. You're just killing innocent people."
"How can I survive if I'm always worried about other people's lives. The only life that I need to be worried about is mine."
"I can't believe I'm hearing you say this. You used to be so compassionate, so caring. What happened?"
"I got a look at the real world."
"I just don't understand. How can you embrace darkness? Darkness is what killed Qui-Gon."
Anakin seemed to pause for a second, then said, "If that old fool was stupid enough to try to fight darkness, then he deserved it."
"If only he were here to hear you say that."
"Maybe hearing 'the chosen one' say it would convince him that it's true."
"I can't believe he ever thought you were the chosen one. You're the farthest thing from it I've ever seen."
"But, Obi-Wan, don't you see? I am the chosen one. I'm bringing balance to the dark side of the Force." He smiled wickedly.
"But what about Amidala? How could you leave her? I thought you loved her."
A look of sadness seemed to cross Anakin's face. "Yes, there are some things I regret." He seemed to snap out of his trance. "But it was either her or the dark side. The dark side gave me power, something she could never give me."
"Yes, but she gave you something much better than power: love."
"Well, what's done is done." He paused for a moment. "You realize, of course, that I cannot let you escape from me alive."
"Anakin, I will not fight you."
"Good. It'll make it that much easier for me to kill you." It seemed to give him great pleasure to say, "And I'll enjoy watching you die."
"Anakin, come on. You're a Jedi. You know you could never bring yourself to kill me." But deep down inside, I knew I was wrong. Anakin was filled with anger and hatred, and he was capable of anything.
"But I'm not a Jedi. I'm a Sith." With that, he ignited his blood-red lightsaber and lunged straight at me.
