This was done for the challenge to write Bella as in love and in character and done while supposed to be getting others to peer review my English essay. I feel this was a much better use of time, flu-ridden and all. Hopefully Bella is in character as requested.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.

She laughed manically, wickedly, black hair whipping around in a frenzy. She screamed and sang and danced around in seemingly no pattern whatsoever, letting the leaves and the shrieking wind wrap around her body. She contorted reality with her beauty – or made it seem so, at least.
To some – to most – the behavior seemed out of control and place, purposeless, much like many thought of Bella herself. But Bellatrix Black's sisters knew she was flirting. Flirting with one Rodolphus Lestrange. Her sisters didn't know why. They couldn't see. Not like Bell could.
The madness in the sound of his chuckle. The evil glint in his eyes. The malice in his smirk sent shivers up her spin. He was quiet, but genius. The snake to her skull. The scream to her spell casting. The torture to her 'crucio'. Genius in an understated, desperate to be appreciate, way.
While Narcissa was quite happy with the how-off Lucius, and Andromeda – well, who knew about her – Bella wanted to shine. Perhaps that is why she decided to love Rodolphus. Well, that and his last name. Black was a fine, strong name. Dark, almost. But Bellatrix Lestrange had such a ring to it. Perfection.
She cackled and preformed a cartwheel, dizzy at last. With an impish giggle she fell upon the cold ground and lay limp, bursts of laughter escaping out of her. A shadow fell over her and she glimpsed up at the perfect darkness that was Rodolphus.
He grinned and she screamed in delight. The hunger, the lust, the want, that shone through his face what she wanted – what she craved. He just towered there and offered his hand. Bella clamped on and sprung up, ever full of energy.
He stared at her as a predator stares down a prey. She met his challenge and rushed forward, claiming his malleable lip in hers, biting hard enough to taste blood, sweet, sweet blood. He pushed back, strong hands gripping her shoulder and buttocks – crushingly hard, threatening to bruise. She raked her fingernails against his sides and he held her shoulder blades back so far she swore there was a crack – probably was somewhere.
Finally the world's black melted away and reality tore back in view. Panting and half delirious, Bella and Rodolphus broke away from each other, still outside on Hogwarts grounds for all to see.
And then he smiled that delicious smile again, licking up the blood she had drawn. Bella's heart fluttered and she smeared the blood, staining some on her own face. She felt triumphant. She had chosen well. Rodolphus was hers now. Lestrange was hers. Love and madness blended together and Bella took all she could and more and gave nothing back, expecting Rodolphus to either do the same or wither away like he would deserve. Only those that could manage chaos and madness and pain like her deserved her love. Control was optimum and love was buried beneath madness to protect from any harm. But Bellatrix had found Rodolphus and he was up to the challenge.

I don't know if Bella would have been a bit mad that early, before Azkaban, but this is just how I picture her. So, I hope I was able to really portray the insane way I see her in. I'm also thinking about doing a companion piece/chapter for after she goes through Azkaban. We'll see, though. Hope you enjoyed!
