Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.
A sakura blossom blew through Konoha, whirling slowly on the wind. It alighted for a moment on a pole in the training grounds, where Lee was trying to get Neji to be youthful while Tenten was trying not to laugh. It was caught in a swarm of insects but let loose again as they returned to Shino. It flew over the park, where Kiba and Akamaru were playing tag and Ino was yelling at Choji about their picnic. Shikamaru marked its passing as he cloud-watched. It snagged an updraft over a chakra blast Hinata let loose on the river. And whirled through the window to land softly on Tsunade's desk, where Naruto saved it from being smushed by paperwork. Sakura walked in the door, and in an inspired moment, he turned and held the blossom out to her. The fox boy was rewarded when she smiled, thanking him as she took it from his open hands and affixing it in her hair. She reported to Tsunade as the wind freed the little blossom unnoticed. It soared once again across Konoha and all its inhabitants. Finally, it settled in the remains of the Uchiha compound, where a dark stranger picked it up because it reminded him of childish dreams.
