DEZ'S POV:

I can't believe my best friend Austin might never sing again! It's his life. I hope it won't affect his dancing. I ask his doctor, Dr. Grant,

"How will that affect his dancing?"

Dr. Grant pointed to me and asked Austin, Ally, Trish and Mr. and Mrs. Moon,

"Does he have to be in here?"

Trish laughed condescendingly.

"Welcome to my world, Doc."

I don't like Trish. She's a sadistic, mean and scary bully. Dr. Grant tells us that with Austin's surgery, his voice may be permanently altered. I ask,

"Remind me again, where do we land on dancing?"

Dr. Grant grabs me by my arm. He calls a nurse over.

"Can you take this one to the mental ward?"

Two nurses get me into a hospital gown and shorts and head me toward a soft room.

I ask,

"What's this?"

One of the nurses, in a pink flowered scrub uniform, says,

"It's a special hospital room."

I ask,

"Why is it so soft?"

The male nurse says,

"Keeps you from hurting yourself."

He walks out and I sit on the floor of the big, fluffy room. I say,

"I can't believe my best friend might never sing or dance again. He had a great life all planned for him."

AUSTIN'S POV:

My throat is killing me, and plus I'm faced with a decision of surgery or kissing my music career goodbye. Sigh. I'm about to leave the hospital with Ally and Trish. Ally puts her hand on my shoulder.

"Sorry, Austin."

I say,

"It's not your fault, Ally."

I then discover Dez is missing. Trish asks,

"Wait, where's Dez?"

We see a nurse with long, wavy blonde hair tied in a ponytail and a pink florals scrub uniform. Ally asks,

"Excuse me?"

She stops, saying,

"Yes, can I help you?"

Ally politely says,

"Have you seen a tall boy with red hair and silly clothes?"

The nurse laughs.

"Yes. Another nurse and I just put him in the mental ward. I should probably go check on him."

She pulls out her phone. We see Dez in a padded room with a hospital shirt and shorts.

"My best friend might never sing again, my best friend might never sing again, MY BEST FRIEND MIGHT NEVER SING AGAIN!"

He starts crying and screaming his head off.

I look at her.

"That's my best friend in that room."

The nurse glances at me.

"Your friend is insane."

Trish looks at her.

"No one's arguing with that."
