Summary: Vanitas was desperate for salvation. For the pain to stop. And with Ventus gone, he suppose he should find a temporary replacement. DARK [VanitasxKairi]

Warnings; dubcon, torture, disturbing content/dialogue, kidnapping, going off the idea that Vanitas is ressurected in KH3D

_ I uh...I really like Vanitas, okay? And I kept going back and forth if I should write this with Sora, Kairi or Aqua. But Kairi made the most sense.

[Line Breaker]

The pain was so much worse now.

He resented his Master for bringing him back. He had failed his life's purpose, his one chance at being complete, and he was brought back from the darkness. And with Ventus gone, his other half, any hope of being free went with him. The Master talked about his suspicions; he said Ven might still be alive, hidden. Xemnas had memories of a would-be vessel that strongly resembled the Keyblade wielder.

But suspicions weren't jack shit if it meant more waiting. The pain had amplified, the emptiness in his chest ached constantly. Constantly Unverse were spawning around him. It was almost welcomed because at least the phyiscal pain of killing them distracted him.

"Vanitas."

He looked up. Master Xehanort gave him a look before smirking. "What?"

"I have a task for you." He said and walked alway, assuming Vanitas would follow like an obediant dog. Scowling behind his mask, he did so.

"Finally. What's the point of giving me a body if you're not going to let me have any fun?"

The old man ignored him. He felt the rage bubbling deep inside but tried desperately to stop it from releasing. Braig already taunted him about it all the time. Not that the idiot's words meant much, but it pissed Vanitas off anyway.

"It seems that the new Wielders are in training for our clash." Xehanort mused, looking like the idea humored him. "One is a Master, gifted in controlling his darkness as a weapon."

"So? The last Master did such an amazing job." Vanitas muttered.

The old man laughed. He knew Xemnas probably would've hit him. And "Ansem" tended to freak at the mere mention of that girl. Whatever. He'd pretend he didn't feel somewhat proud at making his Master laugh.

"Indeed..."

The dark being sighed. "So what about the rest? How useless are they then?"

"Two are new to awakening their power." Vanitas almost laughed. "It's the boy we have to worry about."

Ah right. Sora. The idiot seemed just as pitiful as Ventus had been, but apparently he'd been a thorn for a long time. And they couldn't even kill him off since Xehanort was dead set on having the boy as a vessel.

"So what's my task then? I doubt you wanted to just have a nice, friendly chat about those losers."

He stopped. Vanitas turned, not liking the idea of having the man at his back, even if he was the reason of his existance and revival. Actually, with that, he should put his hand through the other's chest, maybe check to see if he had a beating heart to begin with, but that seemed too easy. The anger was rising again.

"The two new Wielders are still so young. One was part of Xemnas's Organization. He is of little importance since we have a little...gift for him." Xehanort smirked and Vanitas rolled his eyes. Did this have to take five years? "The other is a Princess of Heart."

He perked up at that. "And they're letting her fight, knowing what happens if she dies? They're far dumber than I thought."

The old man shook his head. "It won't matter. Neither of them are important any longer."

"So I'm putting them down, huh? Guess some grunt work is better than sitting around." Vanitas drawled, grinning. Oh, he'd love to take out a Princess of Heart. "I'm off then."

"Vanitas." He paused, glancing back. Xehanort eyed him seriously. "I trust only you with this mission. The others have proven...unable to destroy any of the Wielders."

"Well, they ain't me, are they?"

And he left through a portal, hands clenched. How dare he compare him to a bunch of mindless drones.

Kairi sighed, wiping her forehead. She was trying not to stumble as she made her way to the beach, collapsing down into the sand. She was exhausted; Riku and Sora were training her and Axel-or, Lea, and while she loved it, it was taxing. She was garbage at magic besides forming barriers (and the King had the strangest look on his face when he saw them) and the only real expert around was Donald, but the duck had returned to the Castle.

The only thing that made her feel...slightly better was Lea sucked. Apparently going from giant flaming circles to a sword wasn't clicking in his head. And while he was great still with magic, he was a bit...shaky. Being dead and then not probably would do that to anyone.

"Kairi? What're you doing out here?"

She glanced up, smiling when she saw Sora running over. He nearly collided into her as he threw himself down. He removed his shoes and stuck his feet into the water, sighing in content.

"Taking a break. Riku's with Lea, and I don't think he's comfortable flailing around with me watching."

Sora looked surprised. "He's not flailing though..." But he then smiled. "But with Riku training him, he'll be fine!"

Kairi nodded. Despite knowing Sora since forever, she was still somewhat surprised at how...happy he was that Riku made Master and he hadn't. He claimed it wouldn't be fair, since he slept through a lot of it, but still...He always surprised her at how selfless he was.

"How's your training going then?" Sora asked.

She huffed, kicking the sand. "Still nothing...Riku says my forms are great, but I can't do anything with magic. And I keep tripping over my own feet when I try some of those moves you guys do."

"You're still learning. Course you're going to have trouble."

"Easy for you to say..." She grumbled, throwing sand at him. "The King is always talking about how little time we have and...and I've got nothing. I mean, at least Lea has his circle things."

"Chakrams." Sora corrected mindlessly. His face was screwed up, thinking. "It doesn't matter if you can't perform fancy tricks or magic, Kairi. If Xehanort attacks us tomorrow, then at least you know you can fight and protect us if something happens."

"I can't make the barriers last though. They're no longer than maybe three seconds."

He almost looked grim. She noticed his shoulders had stiffened. "Sometimes three seconds is all you need."

She decided not to pry. While Sora had gone on and on about his adventures, there were certain things he preferred not talking about. Especially during the trial. He said he'd seen some things and left it at that.

"How romantic."

They both turned. Kairi felt her head race suddenly. A boy was there, hidden under the shade. That outfit...she remembered it. Riku had worn it before.

The boy was lean and muscular. He seemed to be lazily watching them, leaning against a nearby palm tree but it was impossible to tell since he had a mask over his face. Sora jumped to his feet, Keyblade in hand instantly.

"Who are you?!"

Kairi stood as well, surprised. Had Sora met this boy before? There was something strange in his eyes. Hatred? Was Sora even capable of hating anyone?

"Do we really need the introductions? It won't matter anyway." The boy stalked forward, and then in a burst of dark tendrils, there was a Keyblade in his hand. How did he have one? "Don't worry though. I won't completely destroy you in front of your little girlfriend. We still need you alive."

Kairi scowled and summoned her Keyblade as well. She glared when it made him laugh. "This 'little girl' is enough for you."

"Don't, Kairi." Sora hissed, making her stare at him. "I, I don't know what it is, but something's telling me he's dangerous."

"I'm flattered." The boy sneered, raising his Keyblade. Even his stance reminded her of Riku. "But like I said, I'm not here for you."

Kairi swallowed, letting Sora step in front of her. It finally hit her what he meant. He was after her? Why? Did he plan on kidnapping her or killing her? Before she could think about it too much, Sora ran forward. He lunged at the Masked Boy, scowling when the image of him dispersed under the Keyblade's metal.

"I hate it when they can teleport..." Sora muttered, looking around for where he went.

The red haired girl almost rolled her eyes. She wondered if there'd be a point where in the middle of a fight she could be so calm. She glanced around, trying to find where the boy went when something caught her periphial vizion.

"Above you!"

Sora moved just in time. The boy removed his Keyblade from the ground, and Kairi shuddered to think that it would've pierced right through Sora's head. Sora ran at him again and this time their weapons hit, making an awful noise when they clashed. The brunette went to disengage when the boy suddenly yanked the Keyblade from his hands and kicked him hard in the chest.

"Sora!" She watched him go fly, crashing into a tree. She went to run over to him, 'cura' on her lips when something slammed into her.

She cried out, sprawled into the sand. Pain exploded in her nerves. She nearly sobbed, seeing her right arm was sizzling. A spell. A dark firaga, since the flames were black. Biting her lip, she took a deep breath and forced her hand over it, trying to calm down enough to cast a healing spell.

"They said you were a newbie but I didn't expect this."

She glared up at him, seeing her own reflection in the dark glass of his mask. "You take pride in an unfair fight?"

"Unfair? But I thought you'd be enough for me?" He sneered. He stalked closer, his larger hand covering over hers and squeezing, making her cry out. "Well?"

"Get away from her!" Sora yelled, picking himself up.

Kairi saw him turn his head, looking at the brunette. He released her. Deciding to take a chance, she kicked him as hard as she could in the shins. He jerked back but didn't do anything but hiss at her.

"Stupid bitch..."

She sneered back at him, smirking when Sora tackled into him, knocking them both to the ground. Cursing, she went back to her arm and tried to heal it, messing up a few times before a small green light appeared on her skin. Slowly the pain faded, leaving a bright red mark behind. She really needed to talk to Donald. Panting, she picked herself up-She yelped when she was somehow knocked to the ground again, groaning when she found Sora on top of her.

"Sorry..." Sora groaned, picking himself up. "He's strong. I don't think I'm even putting a dent into him-BARRIER!"

She did it instinctively. A shimmering barrier formed around them, knocking the boy's attack back and exploding into a tree. He made a noise of irritation.

"Great, now you can do that too?"

The barrier faded and Sora lunged at him again. The boy moved to the side before putting his Keyblade through Sora's back.

"SORA!"

Kairi watched him fall, skin going pale. Blood fell on to the sand where he crumbled. He was still breathing at least, the boy had mentioned they needed Sora alive, but that didn't stop her heart from racing. Before she could make her way to him, she felt her hair being grabbed painfully.

"Well then, Princess," He sneered and yanked her head back, forcing her neck to bend unnaturally. "I'm curious if you're insides are as red as your hair."

She scowled and went to hit him, but he knocked her hand aside easily, fingers wrapping around her wrist and squeezing. She hissed through her teeth, refusing to cry out again. Her arm was bent behind her back as he forced her to stand, his front pressing into her back as he went to likely break her wrist-

And froze.

Kairi panted, not sure what had happened. He stood rigid. His grip on her hair loosened. Cursing, the Princess of Heart struggled, wanting to take advantage of this and get away, to help Sora, but her movement seemed to awaken him again. He grabbed both her wrists easily into one hand and she flinched when she felt the too cold sensation of darkness on her skin, locking them together behind her back.

"What are you doing? Either kill me or let me go."

She was ignored. He also ignored her yelp as she was suddenly over his shoulder, winded as it dug painfully into her stomach. She tried to kick him but when he grabbed her legs, the darkness formed as well, keeping her from moving.

"Stop..." Sora tried to get up, wavering and falling back to his hands and knees. "D-don't..."

"Look on the brightside." The boy said, forming a dark portal with a flick of his wrist. "I decided not to kill her."

Kairi cried out as they stepped through, the last thing she saw was Sora reaching for her on the sands of Destiny Islands.

[Line Breaker]

"You brought her here alive?"

Vanitas glanced up, all but tossing the Princess's unconscious body on the bed. It was his room, completely dark and everything stark white with nothing in it but the bed itself. He didn't sleep, so it was useless but for once he was glad to have it. In their base, there were no doors since everyone moved by portals so he didn't need to worry about her escaping.

The Young Master was eyeing him. He then glanced at the girl, back to him curiously.

"Thought I might play with her a bit first."

He raised a silver eyebrow. "How unlike you..."

"What? Am I not supposed to play with my food? Let me have some fun while you keep me locked up with nothing to do." He drawled, not caring if the other believed him or not. It was no one else's business.

The younger version of Xehanort hummed and walked forward. He looked the Princess over before reaching out. He'd never seen her up close in this form, he had vague memories of the small brat in Radiant Garden and her insistant Light. Before he could touch her though, Vanitas grabbed told of his wrist tightly, warningly.

"She's mine." He snarled.

Xehanort smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Oh? Forgive me, I had forgotten how possessive you could be of your toys." He was released as Vanitas's eyes glowed behind the helmet. He chuckled, opening a portal. "Fine then, have your fun. Just make sure she stays in here."

Vanitas watched him go, eyes narrowing. He wondered if the others would come racing in here as well. He could see Braig going so, but he had no qualms about snapping that man's neck. The only problem was Master might want him to finish her...

But he didn't want to. The moment he was against her, so close to her being...the ache had left. All pain of his horrible half existance stopped. And he could smell that nausaeting odor of light all over her skin. It made him retch, but she, being a Princess of Heart, was the closest thing to pure light he had since Ventus.

It took all of his strength to not reach into her chest and rip out her heart. Cling to it. It was his now, his and not even hers anymore.

It wasn't being complete. It wasn't the Salvation he was promised. But for the time being, he could finally relax. No pain or anger or emptiness. They couldn't merge, the girl was too weak and they weren't allowing her to become a problem. So keeping her around would have to be enough.

He sat next to her head. Going through the portal rendered her unconscious; he much preferred her like this. She was quieter. Scowling, he reached out and moved her so her head was in his lap. Even looking at her made his stomach turn. She reminded him too much of that Master bitch. Sighing, he played with a strand of her hair, amazed at the lack of feeling in his own empty chest.

He wasn't sure how long he remained like that. It seemed as long as she was right next to him, the ache dimished. If they touched, it was completely gone. After discovering that, he refused to let go of her. His hand remained burried in her hair as the other touched her skin curiously. In his life, he'd never had time to just...examine what a normal human was like. They were ridiculously soft and fragile. She had bruises from where he grabbed her earlier.

He had vague memories. Of bruises and pains from training and how much Master pushed to be so much better than he was. Of fear. But then he couldn't tell if they were from being complete, from before or after they'd been split.

Unfortunately she had to wake eventually. He made a face when her eyes slowly opened. It took her a moment to gather her barings before she lurched up, trying to jump away from him. Sighing, he watched her fall to the ground, hand wrapped around her ankle.

"Let me go! What do you want from me?!" She demanded, trying to kick her leg from his grip. He noticed her skin bruising there too.

"Calm down." He muttered. Why were these stupid woman so loud and demanding all the time? "Be glad you aren't dead."

She glared up at him. She then surprised him as she lunged, biting his hand. He let go, though he didn't feel any pain, and cursed when the ache returned instantly. He glared after her when she got to her feet, searching around for a way out. From the look on her face, apparently she found him as repulsive as he found her.

He bit his tongue, putting up with the pain to watch the helplessness in her eyes. When she realized that there was no way out, she backed away from him. Those angry blue eyes irked him, making his hands clench and he cursed when a small Unverse spawned, making her jump.

"...Seriously, what do you want?" She asked, thankfully much quieter.

Vanitas sighed, reaching out and crushing the Unverse with his hand. Stupid thing. He saw her stiffen at the action. "Look, the old man wants you to be put down. Me? I think it's a waste."

She gave him a disgusted look. "Then let me go."

"Ain't happening, Princess. Already passed it with the boss." Vanitas smirked. "I get to keep you."

"Don't you come near me!" She snapped, summoning her Keyblade.

"You really want to fight me? After what I did to your boyfriend?"

She scowled. "He would've beaten you if he hadn't been distracted."

"Cute excuse. Not that it matters." He felt the ache intensifying.

He needed to touch her again, and he needed to do it before he lost his temper and accidentally killed her. He got up, amused when she went on guard as he approached. Vanitas grabbed the blade of her weapon easily, despite the way it burned; Light always affected him as such. Grinning, he pushed the sword against her, trapping her to the wall.

"G-get off!" She cried out, struggling. Her arms were caught, stuck. He could smell her panic.

"You're pathetic." He cooed teasingly.

She glowered back but there was nothing but fear in her eyes. He had her pinned, in an unknown world, where there were no way to escape the room. It seemed her situation was finally settling in and it made the ache worth it to see.

Vanitas chuckled and gripped her chin. He almost sighed when the pain faded again. No rising emotions he couldn't control, no agony in his chest, just...nothing. She tried to turn her head away but his grip tightened threateningly.

"Here's how this is going to work," He explained as patronizingly as possible. It made her struggle again. "I keep you alive, rather than killing you painfully, and you only have one job. And I've even made sure it's simple enough that you can do-"

She spat at him.

She definitely made the pain go away. It seemed that even touching her, however, he had an anger problem.

He probably should've slapped her. Somewhere in the back of his mind whispered it showed her her place, demeaned her, but the fury was too great to care. Snarling, he let his hand glow in a dark fire and punched her in the stomach.

The Unverse that had spawned skittered as he watched her fall to her knees, trying desperately to gasp in air and make noise. She wrapped her arms around her middle, tears falling. Her clothing sizzled. Vanitas grinned, anger gone instantly, as he watched her desperately claw at the ground when air returned to her lungs, making her pant and gasp.

"There's a very important lesson you need to learn as one that wields a Keyblade, Princess." He kneeled down next to her, grabbing her hair tight. She sobbed. "There are such far worse things than death."

Her eyes widened in fear. Smirking behind his mask, Vanitas reached out and ran his fingers over her bright red mark. Then he dug them in, grabbing, twisting the burnt skin. Her scream was beautiful. She had an outline of his knuckles there, surrounded by bright burns. Something inside him almost purred. She was marked.

It took awhile before she could talk again. He had hoped he'd damaged her lungs enough she'd be unable to. "What...what job?"

He laughed. "Be a good pet."

[Line Breaker]

Kairi had never experienced anything so...horrible.

Losing her home world, losing her heart, losing her friends to some far off war, being kidnapped before (twice!), all of that didn't compare. If nothing else, the Masked Boy (Vanitas, she learned from some creepy silver haired guy that seemed like Riku's age) didn't hurt her. Not unless she resisted. Or if she made too much noise, which depending on his mood, meant her so much as shifting on the bed.

She'd been scared what he meant by pet. Would she be tortured? Humiliated in front of the rest of the them? Maybe he'd make her into some kind of slave around the place? But none of that happened. By 'pet', Vanitas meant it in more of a literal sense.

Wherever they were in the small room, Vanitas had to be petting her.

It was almost sad (comical? Sad). When she slept, no matter what position they were in, she'd wake up in his lap. She thought he was a pervert, forcing her to straddle him and press against him while sleeping. And during the day (if it was, there were no windows or clocks) Kairi could sit or lay where she wanted as long as he could pet her.

He'd stroke her hair, her cheek, her arms. She made sure he stopped petting her legs. She was still wearing her pink dress and if he was a pervert she didn't want him any closer. To her surprise, he hesitated before moving his hand elsewhere. He seemed to respond better to her small, barely there, wishes as long as she didn't yell.

He was unbelievably cruel. While he didn't usually hit her (mostly because after what had happened last time, she didn't want a repeat) he was always talking. She used to think Riku was witty, always having something to say or a way to respond to things, but Vanitas was on some other level. She watched the way he even spoke to his partners and it made her sick. But usually, he talked to her.

"They had the heart thief teaching you? What, is the mouse too busy to bother having his warriors properly trained? Seems familiar."

"Sora and Riku are excellent teachers! We're more than enough for you"

"Then why are you here?"

He never said their names. Unfortunately she learned their nicknames rather quickly. Her was obviously Princess; she doubted he even knew she had a name. Sora was the 'heart thief' but she didn't know why and when she asked, he'd laugh at her. Riku was 'half assed Master'. And Lea was 'that traitor vessel'.

Once, bored, she asked what cute nicknames he had for his colleagues.

"What colleagues? Those morons that follow Master? They're not even worth mentioning." He said lazily, fingers rubbing the base of her neck. She tried not to shudder. "They like to pretend they know what's going on."

"What is going on then?" She asked.

He might've glanced at her. The mask made it impossible to tell. "Does it matter? You're no longer part of it."

"I am! Once I get out of here-"

"And how will you be doing that?" She tensed when his fingertips dug painfully into her skin.

Kairi hesitated, opening and closing her mouth. She hated being afraid. She wanted to be defiant, she remembered giving Axel hell when he'd taken her, but her stomach was still red and it still very much hurt. She gripped the hem of her dress. If she was so easily cowed, she'd be too ashamed to rejoin Sora and Riku after this.

"When they find me and put a Keyblade where your heart should be." She sneered.

She tried not to whimper when his hand closed around her throat. Groaning, Kairi grabbed at his wrist, trying to claw at him as her airsource was cut off. The clawing went desperate as her lungs ached, needing air and she hated that tears came to her eyes, seeing her reflection. Would he kill her? He seemed to be avoiding that but it was impossible to tell.

"Oohh, am I interrupting?"

Kairi gasped when he released her, her own hands around her throat as she breathed hard. She winced when Vanitas's hand went to her thigh, fingertips digging into the skin as he looked at their visitor.

"Y'know, when I was told you were keeping her locked up alive..." Kairi glared, recognizing that awful accent and hideous face. "That didn't quite look like 'alive'. Unless, you know, that's what you're into."

"What I do with her is my business." Vanitas said cooly, bitingly.

Xigbar laughed, daring to walk closer. The red head winced when the hand at her thigh went possessively around her waist, pulling her against Vanitas's side. His hand pressed into her burns and she had trouble breathing again.

"Fancy seeing you again, little lady." The Nobody (or was he? Axel wasn't now but did that apply to all of them? Were they all back?) cooed at her. She glared back. "Aw, aren't you happy to see me?"

"I was happier thinking you were dead." She hissed at him before cringing. When Vanitas didn't hurt her, she glanced at him.

Xigbar grinned at her, sharp and cutting. "That ain't no ladylike language~"

He went to touch her. Kairi instinctively flinched away but before he could get close, Vanitas grabbed his wrist.

"Oopsie~ Forgot I'm not allowed to play with her." Xigbar laughed, though something hard entered his eyes.

"Out. Before Master needs to find a replacement vessel." Vanitas sneered.

Xigbar tried to pull his hand away but couldn't. His eyes narrowed but his grin grew wider. "As if. Look I thought I'd just come in and check up on you both. Xehanort was worried his little abomination might be getting too friendly with the Princess was all."

Abomination? Kairi wondered what that meant. But she just glared at the one eyed Nobody as he finally managed to pull away from Vanitas's hold. Xigbar straightened himself out before smirking.

"Come on, don't tell me you're not curious?"

"I'm curious as to why you're not gone." Vanitas said dryly.

Xigbar rolled his eye. "Whatever. Seems like a waste of a kidnapping then to me~ But I'll let you kiddies have your fun."

He left through a portal. After a moment, Kairi tried to pull away from Vanitas's hold but stopped once his fingers warningly went over her burn. What should she say now? Vanitas was an abomination by even Nobody standards? And he wouldn't...do what Xigbar had hinted at, right?

She remembered once with Axel, warning him that if he even tried to put his hands on her, he'd wished he'd be dead. He seemed apalled that she even suggested it. But Vanitas was darker. Crueler. She tried not to tremble. She'd just have to hope that he remained content with...well, whatever he was doing with her now.

"...Let go." She finally muttered, pulling at his arm. With these thoughts, having him touch her made her feel ill.

His head turned in her direction. "You really want to do this again?" He sounded amused.

She glared, hesitating. She'd been so docile, and she was sick of it. She was a Keyblade Wielder, and pain was a part of being a warrior. Swallowing roughly, she jerked away and got to her feet, noticing the way Vanitas stiffened at the lack of touch.

Kairi almost winced, stepping back when he stood up as well. The room seemed to get darker around them as Vanitas stared at her. Her hands clenched into fists, ready to summon her Keyblade.

"I'm done being your pet."

"Oh? And where did this new backbone come from?" He sneered at her. "Are you sure you want me to break this one too?"

She steeled herself, going into a stance. She was sick of waiting to be rescued, and she was tired of having him on her at all times. And with Xigbar creeping in here, seeing her like this...she couldn't take it anymore. What if Riku and Sora saw?

Vanitas sighed heavily. She saw his fist begin glowing with a dark fire. She instinctively flinched, remember how bad the burning had been and how long the pain had lasted; but she refused to step down now. Still, she couldn't fight the way she stepped back when he moved forward.

"If this will knock some sense into you..."

He went to grab her. Kairi didn't even notice that her Keyblade had formed until it struck him. She flinched, knowing he was faster than her and expecting to be hit but nothing came. Confused, she glanced up and went still.

He looked irritated, staring down at where his helmet had fell. His bright yellow eyes snapped to her, scowling as he summoned his own weapon. But she couldn't move.

Why...why was he wearing Sora's face?

She yelped when her hair was grabbed. She went to grab his arms, kicking at his shins but was thrown across the room. Her vision went black. Dots scattered before her eyes before she could see again, whimpering as she tried to pick herself up. She must've hit her head against the wall.

Kairi tried to get up, arms trembling at her own weight when Vanitas stepped on her. She cried out as he dug his boot into her back, pressing his heel deep into her skin. She couldn't move, biting her lip as she tried to hold herself together. She wouldn't break. She was a Princess of Heart and wielder of a Keyblade. She'd stick this out and go home and laugh about it later.

"I don't think you understand the position you're in, Princess." She shuddered; he even had Sora's voice. "The only reason I haven't killed you is having you around is convienent."

"Why?" Her voice trembled. "What do you need me for?"

She managed not to make a noise when he kicked her on her back, the toe of his boot cutting into her ribs. Or when he straddled her waist, his Keyblade slamming into the ground next to her head, cutting some hair. He sighed and grabbed her chin, making her look at the too familiar face.

"You're a pure heart, untouched by darkness. And in case you haven't noticed, I'm the opposite. Unnatural. I was ripped from a normal heart and left as the monster I am." He sounded almost amused by that.

"You're...someone else's darkness?" She asked.

Vanitas gave her a look like she might be stupid. She glared back. "The split, however, had some...side effects. The Unverse spawn from my negative emotions. And since the split of hearts was unnatural, I have a lot of those."

Kairi frowned, trying to think. It was hard to focus with him on top of her, weapon right next to her head. "...but, what do I do?"

"Your light makes the pain stop."

She almost did a double take. His eyes were narrowed, waiting for some kind of sharp reply but she couldn't get her voice to work. Pain? Was he constantly in pain from being forced out of someone's heart? If he hadn't forced her into this position and constantly abused her, she might've felt bad.

"It comes with being incomplete. And my other half is gone." Vanitas went on. His expression dared her to say anything. "So you're a temporary replacement until Master gets the war he wants and I can merge into the X-Keyblade."

"That's why you won't stop touching me?" She asked hesitantly.

The black haired boy snorted. "Of course. Don't flatter yourself." She managed to hold back the urge to smack him. She jumped though when his grip on her tightened, eyes narrowing down at her. "So it's in your best interest to go back to being a good pet. Because the longer I don't touch you and get your light, the more likely I am to remove it from your body."

Kairi looked away, mind racing. He just needed to touch her to feel better from this...that was better than what she thought before. It was still awful and she would be happy to see him with a Keyblade through his chest but she could handle this.

"Don't expect me to like it. And if you creep on me then I will fight back."

Kairi yelped when he smacked her. She tasted blood. "You're in no position to make demands, Princess."

He got up, pulling her with him. She noticed that on her right side, her hair was...noticably shorter. She glared up at him, trying to decide if it was worth spitting at him again. She was forced to sit down on the bed with him next to her. His hand went to her waist, pulling her close. And it went back the same routine as the last few days of sitting there, trying to ignore how he stroked her.

Kairi was surprised to wake up with Vanitas nowhere in sight. She was almost afraid than relieved. Nervously, she got up and walked around the room, trying to find any kind of weakness in the walls, a way out or to hide. Nothing. Sighing, she sat on the bed, trying not to kick her legs.

Being kidnapped was boring, she decided. Despite being afraid at the time, at least Axel had been nice and they were constantly moving, seeing new worlds she'd never think existed. But being trapped in a room with literally nothing but a bed was awful. And she doubted that she'd be allowed to wander around.

She jumped when a portal formed, Vanitas stepping out. She only cringed slightly when he stalked over, grabbing her and pulling her to her feet and-

Hugged her.

No, she realized. His hands were pressing at her back, forcing their chest's together. Her heart closer. Trying to get as phyiscally close as possible to her light. Unsure of what to do, she just stood there and waited until finally, he pulled her on to the bed, fingers rubbing at her wrist.

"I have a mission."

The Princess of Heart blinked. She then frowned, realizing what the problem was. "...and?"

His grip on her tightened. "Obviously I can't bring a bunch of useless baggage."

He had such a way with words. "Or you could. And risk me running away. I think it's a great idea." Kairi muttered, not caring that her skin was bruising. "So, what? You leave me here to rot while you're off doing horrible things?"

There was a beat of silence. "I could bring pieces of you."

Something cold gripped her heart. It took her a moment to realize it was fear, because there was only seriousness in his voice. He wanted...to cut her into pieces to carry with him? Did he not care if she died or maybe he was too insane to realize?

"Don't give me that look." Vanitas sneered suddenly. "I'm not dumb enough to kill you. And since you're out of action, it's not like you'd miss a finger. Or three."

The cold spread. "You are not cutting me up! What if it doesn't even work!?"

"You have a better idea?"

Kairi hesitated, realizing she didn't. But there was no way she was letting that happen. Swallowing roughly, she tried to think. "N-no...but, but surely there's something else? I like having my body parts where they are!"

"Vanitas, you're scaring the young lady."

She jumped, eyes wide at the old, dark skinned man that suddenly stood there. It was Xehanort, the original one. Sora and Riku had mentioned him before but...seeing him made her freeze up. Vanitas stood, still holding her.

"Forgive me, Master."

He looked away from the dark being and looked at her. Kairi glared back despite the way she felt under those cold, orange eyes; she felt see-through. Like he knew everything she was thinking. "I understand. I have heard about your experiment."

Experiment? What did that mean? But Vanitas shook his head.

"Hardly. She's more of a pet that I don't have to feed." He muttered. He relucatantly released her wrist. "I'm trying to deal with preparing, Master."

Xehanort looked thoughtful, looking at her again before chuckling. "There are many ways of containing light. Most, however, are a one time thing." He smirked. "Come, Vanitas. We shall find a way to deal with this problem before I send you away."

Kairi was surprised when Vanitas bowed his head. "Thank you."

She watched them both leave her behind, scowling. Great, they were going to discuss this without her. She felt nervous. Sighing she went back to the bed and kicked her feet, wondering how long this would take and if she'd like the end result.

[Line Breaker]

"She reacted badly to my idea." Vanitas mused as they walked towards the throne room. "And I could deal...without her light. Really. I'll do what I must."

Xehanort nodded. "You could, but the times you are parted from her there is a difference in you. We have all seen it. Having a source of light to ease your darkness has made your darkness stronger."

The half being wondered how the hell that worked...But Xehanort was all about balancing the two and he probably understood and it was something beyond his own comprehension. Or something. Vanitas tried not to think about it. It didn't matter, and soon he could be blissfully unthinking as a weapon.

"There is...one way to share hearts."

They stopped in the middle of the Round Room, surrounded by varying thrones. All of them were empty, everyone having work to do to prepare for their Keyblade friends. Despite the problem at hand, he would be excited to finally be joining them out on the field. He hated being idle.

"Share hearts? But we can't merge-"

"It's temporary." Xehanort explained. "And would need to be renewed after some time."

Vanitas looked at him suspiciously. If there was such a thing, why hadn't he heard about it before? "...what is it, Master?"

"When lovers are intimate, they share their hearts through their bodies. It is something that I haven't researched thoroughly, but it's a simple concept. Eraqus was fond of the idea, I remember." Xehanort said.

"Intimate...?" Vanitas thought for a moment. He had vague memories of learning of sex from before being split. He had emotions linked to it, such as lust or longing. He almost grinned. "You think I should fuck her?"

His Master shook his head, sighing. "Such crudeness. You are speaking of a Princess of Heart."

Like Vanitas was buying that. The old man was trying to say just that. "Does it have to be mutual?"

"Oh, you'll share your heart with her. But luckily for you, being what she is, she won't be smothered by your darkness. Now go. I want you to begin immediately."

Vanitas went. How lucky for him...the easiest, simplist way of being without pain would be the most pleasurable one. For him, at least.

Behind him, Xehanort smirked as his younger self walked forward. "...Is that true?"

"It is. Eraqus liked the idea since sharing hearts is such a intimate thought. Vanitas could consume her through such an act if he loses himself." The elder explained.

"...but you have other motives for wanting him to do this."

Xehanort chuckled. "Aren't you curious? Of what could be conceived between two such beings? A warrior in perfect balance with his light and darkness...or a monster that shouldn't exist."

"You talk as if Vanitas can conceive. He is darkness, the odds of him giving life are unlikely."

The older man turned, grinning as he prepared to leave. "...let an old man have his dreams."

Vanitas walked through his portal back to his room. He allowed his helmet to melt, seeing Kairi waiting on the bed. If he was going to play with her in such a way, he wanted to see if she'd react differently. She always seemed soft when his face was exposed.

"You come up with anything besides removing parts of me?" She demanded. If only she knew.

"We did. Luckily for you, Master Xehanort has extensive knowledge on hearts." He went to his usual spot next to her, hand on her thigh. She stiffened. "And it could be painless."

She was eyeing him wearily, knowing something was going on. "Could...be?"

He smirked. Her eyes lingered on his face before looking away, fidgiting nervously. With her eyes deverted, he looked her over closely. When he'd been complete before, he was too young to know much about sex, and especially girls. He trained too hard to think of them. But once split, Vanitas found the emotions came to him more frequently.

He was too busy to do much with them though. If he took an extra look at Aqua's form while fighting her or maybe stared a bit while he watched Ven running around, well...that was his business. He never acted on them since Master kept him busy over the past ten years.

"...are you going to tell me?" Kairi muttered suddenly, making him look back up at her face. She hadn't noticed him staring, head turned away. "Or is it a mystery?"

Vanitas ignored her as he grabbed her arms. She yelped, struggling as he managed to get on top of her, amused as she tried to kick him off or rip her arms from his grip. She wasn't strong enough to do either so he ignored it. He forced both wrists into one hand, easily holding them as his other hand moved down her side.

"G-get off of me! Stop!" She yelled, snarling when he went to the hem of her dress. "Don't!"

Vanitas almost sighed. He leaned forward, grinning when she stiffened at his lips brushing her ear. "I said it could be painless..."

A shudder went through her body. She began breathing hard as her struggling stopped. "No...no, get off. Please, get off, don't do this..."

"Princess, calm down. If you really want me to cut off something then fine. I just didn't know you were that kinda girl." He cooed.

Dark wisps formed around his hand. He watched her eyes when they sharpened into would-be claws, pressing them against her thigh. She went very still. He waited for her to make a decision, sighing when nothing came out of her.

"What will it be, Princess? Either I carve out a piece of you, which could still not work and I'll be back, or you can let me fuck you." She winced violently. "Which, depending on you, could be painless and maybe even pleasant."

Still nothing. He wondered if he'd finally get a response if he put his hand through her stomach when she finally opened her mouth. "...n-no one...would know?"

"Why would they? I'm not fond of having an audience." He said, smirking when she bit and then chewed on her lip. "I don't have a lot of time here, little lady."

"How romantic." She hissed at him before sighing deep, trying to calm herself down. He knew he had her when she reluctantly settled back on the bed and spread her legs slightly."Fine...but, but it better not hurt."

Vanitas released her hands. They went to her sides, gripping at the bedsheets tightly. She refused to meet his eyes as he went to her hem again, pulling the dress up around her hips. He smirked when her legs slammed together, her face turning pink.

"C-can't you go slower?" She mumbled.

"Like I said, I don't have a lot of time here. Master isn't going to give me all day." Vanitas drawled, smirking when she squirmed under his gaze. "Look, I'm already trying to make it painless, Princess. I can't be slow too."

She glared at him. "And I don't want any of this at all."

He raised an eyebrow, sneering as he slid a hand between her legs, thumb pressing against the rather wet spot in her panties. "I beg to differ."

She jumped at the touch, face turning red as she swatted at his hands. Vanitas chuckled darkly, gently rubbing at that spot, watching as she gasped and then writhed. It seemed she was untouched if her skin was so sensitive. He rotated his thumb, finding a small lump of flesh and pressing against it. Kairi gasped and jerked, her face looking confused.

Vanitas grinned, watching as she struggled between pressing into him or pulling away. Yes, he was definitely going to enjoy this. He pulled his hand away, hearing her whimper at the lack of touch. She tried to shift away, refusing to look at him.

"If you keep trying to get away then it'll be hard to make this 'painless'." He said lightly as he grabbed her hips and pulled her back down on the bed. Kairi jumped, looking panicked that she was back under him. "If you keep struggling it'll keep hurting."

He pressed the pads of his fingers against her sternum. When she didn't move away again, face turned away stubbornly, he reached down. Feeling her skin; he moved his hands under her panties, curiously watching as her lower half was exposed. He felt her thighs trembling. He frowned, allowing his dark second skin to melt away around his hands and touch her with his actual human skin.

He almost jumped when she gasped. Glancing up, Kairi's face was red again and she seemed to be having trouble breathing. He ignored it. His fingers pressed against her again, finding that small lump again and rubbing against it. She moaned. He then hooked his fingers and pushed them inside her folds, the wetness allowing them to ease inside. He could feel her twitching around them, every movement of her insides; he smirked.

"Any pain?"

She glared at him. It was unimpressive, given the way her chest heaved and her hair was sticking to her forehead. The dark being went back to working his fingers into her body, moving them and pushing them further in. He paused when he felt something, and running a finger over it made Kairi cry out, griping the sheets as she threw her head back.

His eyes narrowed. He was getting impatient. And he would have time to explore this further after his mission. He removed his fingers and pulled Kairi's panties down below her knees. He moved further on top of her, hands going to her sides and gripping them tightly.

She was breathing into his ear. Vanitas groaned softly, pressing his face into her shoulder, hearing her trying to whisper something but he ignored it; with a growl, he shoved their hips together and moaned when he burried himself inside of her.

Kairi cried out, her hands scrambling to hold on to him. He felt her nails trying to digging into his shoulders but ignored them. His mind was racing; there was so much warmth and light and he was almost suffocating. He kept moving his hands, not sure where to hold.

"D-do something..." Kairi hissed at him.

Eyes narrowing, he finally settled on holding her hips. He pulled back, almost completely out of her, before slamming back inside. She jerked, making a strangled noise. When she didn't complain, Vanitas grinned and began rocking his hips, watching as she moaned and clung to him as they moved against each other.

Her lips kept moving, trying to say something. But Vanitas ignored it, too emersed into her warmth. She reacted if he pushed into her a certain way, and while he could torture her, he decided to humor her. His hands wandered, feeling their way up her sides and thumb running over her ribs. Her dressed was pooled up around her chest and he was curious to see her completely bare but he decided to wait. Next time, he mused.

"S-So...raaa...!" Kairi gasped and Vanitas almost smirked.

Her insides were trembling around him. Knowing his time was growing short before the Master got impatient, Vanitas reached down with one hand and pressed his fingers against her nub. She immediately shrieked, and her walls tightened around him and the light exploded and he thought he was really suffocating, might burn away from it all. And as he kept moving inside her, the tightness overbearing, he felt absolute bliss as he came, deep inside her.

He was trembling when he could think again. Kairi was in no better shape, drenched in sweat and he noticed tears on her eyelashes. Curious if it worked, Vanitas pulled out of her, his dark second skin covering him immediately and removed himself from her form.

No pain. No ache. He grinned, amazed as he looked at his hands. No raging emotions threatening to form into Unverse, no emptiness. And all he had to do was fuck her. It felt amazing, to be free.

"I'll give Sora your regards." He sneered, taking in her sudden panicked look before he walked off through a portal.

[Line Breaker]

Once he was gone, Kairi immediately recovered herself. Her legs trembled from...from exhaustion and she felt dirty. Ashamed. It had been so easy to pretend, to close her eyes and see Sora if she caught a glimpse of Vanitas's face or maybe Riku if she imagined him back in that suit. Maybe it was wrong to think of her two best friends like that, but it was better than laying there, knowing it was Vanitas.

She thought maybe she should be traumatized. Her first time, her virginity, and it was given up to some abomination to save herself from being disfigured. Swallowing roughly, she went to get off of the bed, not wanting to be near it or the...the stains on the bedsheets. She nearly fell, crying out when she went to stand and there was an strong ache between her legs.

"Fucking...liar..." She gasped. He said it wouldn't hurt.

Still, she managed to get to the corner of the room, curling herself up on the floor. She just needed to not think of it. Not think of how easy it had been, to lay there and accept it, or how her body reacted to being just near Vanitas when his face was exposed. Maybe it was because of how touchy he was of her, but her body always reacted like that near him. And now he knew it.

If he really saw Sora...she felt sick. What would he think, knowing what she'd done? That she'd called for him? Would Riku be upset? Her thoughts and feelings were so jumbled. She loved them both so much and to have them think lowly of her...

She needed to get away. Soon.
