Edd shuffled down the hallway to his high school locker. He muttered apologies to every student who bumped him. Once at his locker, he replaced his books from the previous period with ones for the next. He was oblivious to the person behind him, jumping when he heard someone close to him.

"Hey there Double Dweeb."

Edd turned and was face to face with Kevin, his childhood bully whom Edd had thought had become indifferent to him and his friends when high school came into the picture. He was the star of the football team and predictable popular. Edd had stayed with his two best friends Ed and Eddy, excelling in everything that wasn't physical. He frantically spoke back to the red-haired boy, thoughts of his childhood plaguing his mind. "Why, hello Kevin. What can I help you with?"

Kevin shoved his math homework, which was two grades behind Edd's, into his chest. "This. I need it done."

Edd looked confused and then mustered up the courage to hold it back out to the slightly taller boy. He tried to make his voice sound firm with little luck. "Well then Kevin, perhaps you should get to doing that." Mercifully the bell rang and Edd shut his locker, scurrying away from Kevin, mumbling a hurried good bye.

Kevin stared wide-eyed after the hat-wearing boy, cocking his head to the side as Edd's body was lost in the crowd. He grumbled and folded up his unfinished homework, shoving it into his pocket. He walked to his next class, plopping down next to a gorgeous Nazz and turned to pretend to pay attention to the balding history teacher in the front. While words of civil war flooded his ears, Kevin's mind was full of the nerd who showed a backbone.

Edd was walking the last stretch of his daily walk home, having already bid farewell to his friends. He chuckled softly, recalling an image of Ed tackling Eddy on the walk. He was lost in thought and was indifferent to the image of a motorcycle in his driveway. He paused and stared. Kevin was perched lazily on Edd's steps, smirking. Double D walked meekly to Kevin's person. "Uhm, hello again Kevin…"

Kevin stood up and looked down at the flustered boy. "I need a good grade in math class, and you're just the Dork that can help me."

Edd's back stiffened at the childhood name. "I think you can find many people to help you Kevin. Now if you'll excuse me please." He tried to pass the bully and enter his home. He was stopped by and arm shrouded in a leather sleeve of a jacket.

"Not so fast Double Dweed." Kevin sighed, annoyed. "As much as this blows, since you won't do it, can you at least give me some pointers?"

Edd blinked confused for the second time that day. "Well, Kevin…" He rubbed the back of his necked and looked down. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt." He tried to ignore the butterflies in his stomach and the faint blush growing on his cheeks.

Kevin moved his hand off the wall and smirked again, internally wondering at the brunettes expression. He inclined his head to the shut door. "Mind if we start today. You cant have anything to do."

Double D hastily apologized for his rudeness and unlocked the door, hurrying inside. Kevin paused I the doorway, smiling softly as he watched Edd rush inside.

Well that was easy enough. He's kind of cute when he's flustered…what the fuck am I thinking?!

Kevin shook his head mortified and moved into the dark house.
