Summary: Peyton catches colds. Here, she is eleven and with the Ravagers

Contraxia was a cold planet.

"Pey, put a coat on," Yondu told her. "There's a nasty flu going around, and I don't want you getting sick."

"Dad, I'll be fine," Peyton assured her dad. "I'm eleven years old, I can take care of myself. It's warm enough in this leather jacket. Of course, she regretted that when she and the team left the Eclector. Peyton was trying real hard not to be noticed. She knew how very protective Yondu was when she had a cold. Just so that his reputation wouldn't be ruined. And Kraglin, her older brother, he was not as bad as Yondu. However, they both knew their adoptive father all too well.

Hell, Kraglin knew her too well, even more than Yondu. He could always tell when she was sick.

But not this time. She was going to keep it hidden for as long as she could, especially wiping the sweat from her forehead and ignoring her upset stomach And the urge to throw up and ignore her headache. She was working hard on the Milano, the ship that would one day become hers, when she turned fifteen, working on the circuits. It took at least two hours to fix them all and get the system working. However, this cold was just making it worse. She wasn't sure if she got everything fixed or not. However, Peyton felt breakfast coming headed up to where the bathroom was and began puking.

Kraglin came up to check up on her. The girl was at least fifteen minutes late and Yondu asked him (or rather ordered him) to check up on her. However, what the eighteen-year-old wasn't expecting was to find the eleven-year-old crouched down, throwing up in the Milano's toilet.

"Peyton?" Kraglin said. Peyton didn't look up. She just continued throwing up until the last drop and flushed the toilet. She looked up. Kraglin saw his little sister's color was drained, she had sweat falling down her face, and had red under and in her eyes. "Geez Kid, you look awful."

"Yeah, I know I do," Peyton said. "I've been feeling like this all morning."

"Why didn't you say anything?" Kraglin asked her.

"Because, Ravagers don't get sick. And when they do, they suck it up," Peyton said. "I think I caught the space flu when we were docked on Contraxia."

"Space flu? And you were working on the Milano. Are you crazy, Pey? Space flu's serious, and besides, you're the cap'n's daughter," Kraglin told her.

"Yeah, and you're the cap'n's son," Peyton said. "He doesn't seem to care you get sick. So, why me?"

"Now, that's where you're wrong. He was worried when I got the space flu a couple year's ago. Took me a week to recover. Now, come one, I'm gonna take you to bed."

Kraglin went over and helped Peyton up, putting his hand on her small shoulders . He took her up to the captain's quarters, which was where Peyton slept rather than having her own room and laid her down in the bed and covered her with blankets.

"Just stay there, Pey, and just relax." He went to walk for the door but Peyton grabbed his hand.

"Please don't tell Daddy," Peyton said.

"I got to Pey, you're too sick," Kraglin told her. "Just, stay awake. I'll be right back."

Kraglin left the room to look for Yondu. Hopefully, he wasn't in a fouler mood from when he last left the captain.

Yondu was getting very furious. Wherever was Peyton? She was NEVER Late to dinner, even if it was mac and cheese night. Yeah, they sold that stuff at other stalls, and when Peyton saw the mac and chees, Yondu bought a whole lot of others. He sent Kraglin out to get his sister, hoping the kids would come here, or he would literally pull their sorry hides into the vacuum of space.

Kraglin burst in.

"Cap, it's Peyton. She's ill!" Kraglin shouted. Yondu's red eyes were burning. He got really pissed. Why did that girl not tell him she was not feeling well? According to Kraglin, it was because she didn't want to appear weak. Now, he couldn't blame her, but Peyton really should have told him she got the space flu, of all things. Thankfully, he had soup that would make her feeling better.

He placed his fingers through her light blonde hair and began petting her.

"It'll be okay, my Arrow princess," Yondu said. He always called her that when she was sick. "You're on the mend now."
He looked down and saw her smile, before she turned away and placed the blanket over her shoulder. Yondu wished that she wasn't so reckless. Truly, deep inside, Yondu didn't want her to be just like him. He wanted to be her own person. She didn't need to know about her dad just yet. At least until she was a little older.

Yondu was glad that he didn't give her away like he was going to do five years ago. He'd grown fond of the little girl and would hate it if anything bad happened to her.
