"'Watch Them,' she says," He muttered from the mast, "'He is key to her final Destiny. She will be a Bridge'."
The Metatron shook his head as he sat beside the black sail. His wings were folded to his back as he watched the crew of the Black Pearl. God worked in mysterious ways. He didn't approve of the girl named Alice being sent to Underland, a world beyond the Lord's control and basic laws of nature. Yet God had done it.
Metatron hated it the most because of his past there. What was more, it would be horrible if Alice realized who he'd been. Yet God had sent him in robes of blue. Bright blue.
"Jack!"
Metatron looked down at the yell.
Captain Jack Sparrow had just set a route for the fountain once more when Alice had tackled him. He laughed as she held onto him. She now wore the wardrobe of a pirate, complete with pistol and cutlass. She had left the merchant life for the time being and using her credentials when they docked. Jack was the closest she had to Hatter and they got along fine. Still, it felt like something was missing sometimes.
"Morning, Poppet." Jack chuckled as he held onto the young woman. "Sleep well?"
"Well enough. Where are we heading?"
"A small spring in Florida..."
Metatron rolled his eyes.
"And Alice will be led by the bird who looks like the mad man. The Warriors will find the fountain. Upon seeing her reflection she will return beyond the Looking Glass. From there Alice and her soul mate will continue traveling between time and space..."
"Absalom!"
Metatron swore as Alice spotted him while scaling the ropes to the mast. He turned as Alice tackle hugged him.
"It is you!"
"You know 'im, Lass?" Jack had joined them.
"Oh, I forgot." Alice laughed. "Jack, Absalom. Absalom, Jack."
"Is she always like this?" Metatron exclaimed. Jack chuckled.
"Well there was this time she told a werewolf he was a bunny..."
