From Monday to Friday, Quack, the blue duck was talking a lot. Peep the chicken and Chirp the robin kept hearing Quack talking. "Oh there once was a duck. He was blue like me and he loved singing. Hey do you want to hear what he sang about?" Quack asked. "Oh please no." Chirp said. Peep nodded. "I'd like to hear it." He said. "Wonderful." Quack said. Chirp looked at Peep. "Peep." Chirp said. "Oh come on. What can happen?" Peep asked. Quack began to sing. "Oh ducks are the best. They are better than all the rest. Better than yellow chickens and red robins." Quack keep singing over and over. Chirp growled. One because Quack always brags about how much better he is than Chirp and Peep, and two because of his obnoxious singing. "That's it! I will not take stay here and listen to a narcissistic duck!" Chirp yelled and she flew away. "Chirp, come back!" Peep yelled and he ran after her. Chip saw Peep. "Peep, what are you doing?" Chirp asked. "Why did you fly off like that?" Peep asked.
"Because of that narcissistic duck." Chirp said. "Oh." Peep said. Chirp landed down to Peep. "Peep, how can you handle that singing duck?" Chirp asked. "You're talking about Quack right?" Peep asked. "Yes. Of course I'm talking about Quack." Chirp said. Quack ran over to Peep and Chirp. "There you are. You missed my song." Quack said. "Well I'm sorry. I don't want to hear it." Chirp said. "Goodnight." Chirp flew away. "What got her so mad?" Quack asked. "Oh she just doesn't like when you talk a lot." Peep said. "But ducks are natural born talkers." Quack said. "Awesome." Peep said. It was now ten forty at night. Chirp flew to her bush and fell asleep. Peep walked over to Chirp's bush. "Chirp, can I sleep with you?" Peep asked. Chirp opened her eyes. "Why of course you can." Chirp said. "Yay!" Peep yelled and he jumped up to Chirp's bush. Chirp and Peep were asleep until they heard singing. Chirp woke up. "Are you kidding me!?" She asked. She looked at her best friend. "Peep, wake up."
Peep opened his eyes. "What's wrong? Are you alright Chirp?" Peep asked. "I'm fine Peep. What's not fine is that horrible singing." Chirp said. "Ooh ducks this, ducks that. Ducks are better than the rest. Blue ducks, pink ducks, red ducks, orange ducks, yellow ducks, green..." Quack didn't finish his song because Chirp started yelling. "What is wrong with you!?" Chirp yelled. "I'm singing my duck songs. I'm on my fifth song. I've got two hundred ninety-two left. Oh ducks! Duck, duck, duck, duck, duck!" Quack walked away singing. Chirp sighed. "That duck doesn't know anything about singing." Chirp said. Peep fell asleep. Chirp also fell asleep. The next day, it was so quiet. Chirp and Peep woke up. They both yawned. "Morning Chirp." Peep said. "Morning Peep." Chirp said. It was still quiet. "Hey Peep, did you know that it's so quiet?" Chirp asked. Peep nodded. "Yeah." He said. Then he thought of an idea. "Hey, lets go see Quack." Peep said and he jumped off Chirp's bush.
"Alright Peep. I hope he's done with those annoying duck songs." Chirp said and she flew off her bush. Peep and Chirp were walking to Quack's pond. Well Peep was walking. Chirp was hopping. Quack woke up in his pond. He saw some humming birds. He wanted to say hello to them but nothing came out of Quack's mouth. He tried again, but he still couldn't say anything. Quack realized something. Due to him talking a lot and singing a lot, he lost his voice. He tried to quack but his voice was too weak. Peep and Chirp saw Quack. "Hi Quack." Peep said. Chirp waved. There was silence. "Well? Aren't you going to say hello to us?" Chirp asked. Quack nodded. "Okay. I'm waiting." Chirp said. Quack opened his mouth but nothing came out. "I get it. You're still angry at me." Chirp said. Chirp started to walk away but Peep stopped her. "Wait Chirp." Peep said. "What?" Chirp asked. "Quack, why aren't you talking?" Peep asked. Quack moved his mouth and his foot. "You lost your hat?" Peep asked. "No Peep. His hat is on his head." Chirp said.
"Wait Chirp, I think Quack lost his voice." Peep said. Quack nodded and quacked weakly. "Ah. So that's why it's so quiet." Chirp said. "Yeah." Peep said. "Come on Peep. Lets enjoy the nice and quiet day Peep. See you later Quack." Chirp said and she hopped away. "I hope your voice comes back soon Quack. I miss it." Peep said. Quack sighed and nodded. Peep and Chirp looked around. "Listen to everything that we don't really get to hear." Chirp said. "Uh huh." Peep said. Chirp stretched her wings. "Peep, you don't mind if I fly around do you?" Chirp asked. "No. Not at all." Peep said. "I'll see you later." Chirp said and she flew away. Peep ran over to Quack's pond. "Hey Quack!" Peep yelled. Quack was surprised. He thought that Peep was with Chirp. "Where's Chirp?" Quack asked in a very weak voice. "Chirp went to fly around. Since she can fly, she wants to get some more practice. I'm here to help you get your voice back. Now what do you normally do?" Peep asked. Quack grabbed a stick and walked out of his pond. Peep followed him. Quack saw some mud and started writing. "Hmm. It looks like you say hello to everyone." Peep said.
Quack nodded. "Okay." Peep said. Then Peep saw a lot of animals. "Hello!" Peep yelled. "Hi Peep." The animals said. "How's that?" Peep asked. Quack smiled and nodded. "What's next?" Peep asked. Quack was writing something in the mud. "Oh okay. Singing duck songs." Peep said. Quack nodded. "Sure. Oh beautiful for duck feet. For blue duck feet. Oh how I love to sing about my friend Quack." Peep said. Chirp heard Peep. She flew over to Peep. "Are you changing the song lyrics from a song?" Chirp asked. "Maybe." Peep said. "Well if I were you, I'd stop. It's not right to copy someone's song." Chirp said. "You're right Chirp." Peep said. "Now why are you singing silly duck songs?" Chirp asked. "I'm trying to act like Quack." Peep said.
"Peep, that's weird." Chirp said. "But I promised Quack that I would do it." Peep said. "Again, that's weird." Chirp said. "Chirp, wouldn't you do the same to me if I lost my voice?" Peep asked. "I know I would."
Chirp sighed. "You're right Peep." Chirp said. Quack looked at Peep and Chirp. "Quack, we both decided to help you get your voice back. Quack cheered. "Yes! Thank you!" Quack yelled. "You're...wait a minute. Your voice isn't weak! You tricked me!" Chirp yelled. "Oops. I was trying to get your attention. Sorry." Quack said. Chirp sighed and flew away. "Quack, can you sing some more duck songs?" Peep asked. "Why of course." Quack said and he kept singing duck songs.
The End.
