This held together the universe.
This held together life.
This held together love.
And love held infidelity together.
It was this simple, and nothing more. I set this scene by a pond, with a lily-pad, the moonlight and crisp, brown autumn leaves. A smile played with her plush pink lips, raw from the bitter cold. He had draped his jacket over her shoulder minutes ago, and goosebumps were slowly trawling up his arm, the wind not complying with his sleeveless black Animal shirt, and jeans with black Vans.
She shivered slightly, and plopped down onto the dewy green grass, dipping the tips of her fingers into the surprisingly warm water, and let loose a small gasp, the numbness of her fingers contrasting the sudden warmth.
"It's warm," She whispered into the boys ear, her tight dark stone washed jeans covering her slender legs, and a sleeveless short white top, with white sandals. Her auburn hair tangled with his ink coloured hair. His teal eyes met with her emerald ones, as they dove into a gentle kiss.
He lay back, and pulled her close to his chest. "Kori?" "Yes?" "What do you think of this?" "This?" "Yeah. Us." "A small hope, which is found ever so rarely." He smiled, and nestled his nose into the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent. "So rare." He agreed quietly. She giggled.
"I also believe this to be our salvation." "Our shelter."
"Ours only."
