"Oh no! Absolutely not!"

"I don't know, Jackie. I like this one a lot, can you grow on it?" Alicia appeased and pleaded with Jackie, her soon-to-be mother-in-law. Alicia had met Jackie a few times before, prim and proper occasions where Alicia felt out of her element and scrutinized every minute; yes, this was Jackie Florrick.

"There's much too much cleavage. You must be modest for the wedding. There will be powerful politicians, friends of Peter's father." Alicia took nothing of this comment. She truly loved this dress. The silk lay perfectly against her skin; she was a beautiful, untouchable goddess. The empire waist with embroidered beads was classy, yet sassy. The straps of her dream dress hugged her shoulders. Her clavicles (always a soft spot for Will) was seen, gasp! Jackie can't seriously think this dress were too showy or provocative.

"What's your dream wedding?"

"I don't know. I want something simple, not extravagant."

"In a church?"

"Will, you know me by now, I wouldn't want it in a church."

"Hahah true enough."

"What about you?"

"Me? Will Gardner doesn't think about weddings." Alicia looked a bit taken back. She knew Will didn't think about the future all that much, but she always thought in the back of her mind, "What if?"

"Well, I would want it outside, in the hills on a vineyard. Natural, beautiful, pure. I'd want it on a gray day," Alicia laughed; Will knew Alicia's favorite days were gray as she avoided the sun as much as possible, but the gray made her so happy, "I'd want my bride to wear a dress she loved, whatever she wanted. We'd have close friends and family, and just dance the night away. It's what she would want, I'd just be so lucky to have found the one." Will looked so sincere, so honest- only if she were his-

"You're so cheesy!"

"Hey, I have a way with words. I don't know, I don't care that much about the wedding, I'm more excited for the honey moon."

"Of course you are." They just smiled at each other, looking longingly into each other's eyes, not realizing the time passing so fast between them. It wasn't awkward, nor romantic. Just nostalgic. They both missed this. Everything was moving so quickly between both of them; life was really starting.

- "Hello? Alicia? Stop day dreaming dear and try this on." Jackie handed Alicia a dress that was literally falling off the hanger because it was so showy. Alicia snapped out of her memory and was sent to her plain, dull reality of shopping with Mrs. Florrick. The dress reminded Alicia of Cinderella. A ball gown. This was not Alicia; this was Jackie.

"Oh Jackie, that's a bit extravagant, isn't it? The shoulder pads and shine of the dress? The beading is all over the dress. It's not really… simple."

"Dear, we are going for modest, but memorable. That dress you have on is too plain; no one will remember you in that. This dress is gorgeous. It's not revealing, but you look like a princess." Just what Alicia wanted… to look like a princess. Joy.

"Okay."

Alicia's dress was nothing like she ever imagined it to be. She stood at her wedding, buried in a dress she hated. Suffocating from the tight hold not only this dress had, but the idea of her future. The thought of her life to be like Jackie crippled her mind. She couldn't stand idly by her political husband, as she had tea every afternoon with other wives. Jackie loved this, Alicia loathed the mere thought. But she stood at the front of the church Peter was baptized, hundreds of eyes staring at her, her life predestined and all she could think about was the vineyard.
