"there's something in the wind
As it sweeps the hair from behind my ear
I can't seem to shake this feeling
Loneliness in the night
It clouds my head
I pray for the day
Company takes its place"
A girl stood by the waterfront singing her lonely tune as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Tears swept her cheeks as she fell to her knees as if suddenly, she was unable to stand any longer. She dipped her hand into the water and swished it back and forth as she continued to sing. The pain in her heart continued on and on. Tomorrow would be another day and so would the day after.. Why couldn't she have something or someone that would change forever. She paused and looked up at the sky as a shooting star crossed. She closed her eyes and made a wish.
"I wish for something... or even someone to change my life!" She yelled out into the silent night.
"I heard a wish doesn't come true if someone hears it." came a voice.
She stood up and turned around quickly as she fell backwards into to the water causing whoever spoke up to laugh. Looking up, she saw a boy with long black hair and blue eyes offering his hand out to her with another small chuckle. She took his hand and got out of the water. It was so embarrassing falling in the water like that.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"It isn't polite to ask someone their name before introducing yourself." She remarked.
He laughed again. "I've never been one for formalities. Name's Ryusuke Minami."
"Elise Aergard ." She introduced formally.
"No need to be so formal. Let's go get you dried off. My place isn't far from here." He said turning around for her to follow him. Elise cautiously followed after him hoping he wasn't some kind of creeper. When they arrived, she saw a small shack that had a fishing hole next to it and watched as Ryusuke opened the door. He walked over to a box and dug through it before throwing a towel and some clothes at her.
Elise blinked and hoped that he didn't expect her to change right then and there...In front of him... She soon realized that he did as he was not leaving.
"DO YOU MIND?! At least close your eyes!" She squealed.
"I don't know what you're getting all worked up for. It's nothing I haven't seen before." He shrugged
"Just.. Please do it!" she whined before he closed them. Elise sighed before taking off her wet clothes, drying her self off, and changing into the clothes he gave her. She wondered if they even fit her. They were clothes for guys after all. After changing into them, she told Ryusuke he could open them again. Unbeknownst to him, he turned a small shade of pink in the face.
Oh god... She was in his clothes. He took a moment to look at the pile of wet clothes on the floor and realized something. She wasn't wearing a thing under his clothes. He mentally tried to rid himself of the image stuck in his head of her underneath him...naked. His pants tightened around him and he cringed, thankful that she was busy looking around the place.
"You should probably call home..." Ryusuke mentioned.
"Not like they would care anyway... They kicked me out." she spat out bitterly.
"So I took a hobo home with me.." he said nonchalantly.
"HEY!"
"You have no place to stay..?"
"Uhhh no! Why ask when you JUST called me a hobo...?" she said in a fake hurt voice.
"Stay here." He said taking Lucille and strumming a few chords. "Anyway...that song you were singing...Did you write it?" he asked. It wasn't a song he'd heard before so he was curious.
