"What have you come as? A fashion victim?" Jack laughed as Gerry walked in.
"Ha, congratulations. You've just proved you have no idea when it comes to fashion." Gerry retorted.
"If that is fashion them I'll stick with being unfashionable."
"You're just old and grumpy."
"You're both old dogs." Sandra said walking in and laughing at the site in front of her. "Gerry take those gloves off."
"You look like something from 1984." Brian piped up.
"Trust me, he'd still have been laughed at back then. That has never been fashion."
"Come on Gerry, you're with me and on the way we'll stop at yours and you can change into an outfit which is your normal and acceptable level of ridiculousness."
"And if I don't?" Gerry replied when they were safely out of ear shot.
"Then it'll be a trip to casualty for you for unexplained injuries."
"I need nine lives with you around."
"Ah well good works rewarded, something you know only too well." She said as she delicately touched his hand. "Fine I'll change. I'll have the last laugh though."
"Whatever you say."
"Want some chocolate?" Gerry asked as they stepped inside of his house.
"What kind?" Sandra asked.
"I don't know, some kind of dark chocolate. I'll go and get it." He replied knowing she couldn't resist dark chocolate. "I'm just going out the back for some fresh air." Sandra said.
"Watch the tree roots, I've not sorted them yet. And close the door behind you, I'm cold."
"Aw old and cold are you?" Sandra laughed as she did as she was told.
"How's this for you?" Gerry asked as he stood in front of her.
"That's no better than the last! Time for a few home truths I think. Your ties all look funny, people your age should not be wearing skinny trousers and you need to tuck your shirt in."
"No need to hold back Sandra." He said as she kissed him to show she wasn't setting out to be mean.
"Go and put your normal clothes on!"
"Fine. You might want to take the clothes thing up with Caitlin though!"
"Oh don't worry I will."
