He says he's fine, but he's not, you know it. He can't be – not after the wall breaking down – not after that look you saw in his eyes. Like he was terrified and in agony and full of guilt all at once.

But you're not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, even though it's probably full of Greeks, or demons in your case. So you both go on pretending he's fine, but neither of you are fooled. And it kills you that he's hurting, but there's nothing you can do. It really sucks being helpless.
