A/N: Again, based on a scene from The Cosby Show. Only the documentary commentary is from the episode and some of the interactions, but all the dialogue is mine :) Hope you enjoy!

Peruvian Sand Crickets
A week before mating the Peruvian sand cricket begins to gather small sticks and blades of grass which he uses to build a hut like nest…
Michael gave Jackie an odd look as he took a seat next to her on the couch, "What on earth are you watching?" he asked.
"Just a documentary," Jackie replied with a small shrug, still watching the screen, "are the kids in bed?"
"Yep, all settled," he replied as he sat back to watch the program with her.
…In this hut the mating will take place. To lure the female into the hut the cricket rubs his hide legs together producing a loud squeaking sound…
Michael gave Jackie a sideways glance before rubbing one of his legs against the other.
Jackie's small giggle was the only sign that she had noticed him.
…Although irritating to the nearby villagers, to the female sand cricket it is an alluring, seductive love song. Draw to the hut the female enters shyly at first…
Jackie looked over at Michael who gave her a sly look, with a sly look of her own she nestled into her side as he slipped his arm around her.
…but once inside the male courts her with a ritualistic mating dance. Then mating begins. As the mating process nears completion a curious thing happens: the female flips the male over, pins him down and eats him alive…
Jackie and Michael sat up as one: him to try and grab the remote to change the channel, her to keep it from his reach.
"Wait, I want to see this," Jackie said, watching the screen and holding the remote just out of Michael's reach.
…Leaving only the male's legs behind the female backs out of the hut, knocks it down and dances on top of it…
Jackie dissolved into laughter and collapsed against the cushions. Michael took the opportunity to take the remote off her and turn off the television.
"That is the best documentary I've seen in a long time," Jackie told him through her laughter.
Michael's only response was to pull a face, causing Jackie to laugh harder.
"Oh come on Michael, you have to admit it's kind of funny," she said after a moment, having finally gotten some control over her laughter.
"I'm glad you thought so," he told her dryly.
"Aw, how can I make it up to you?" she asked, putting a hand on his cheek.
Michael gave her a small smile as he leaned down to kiss her.
"I promise I won't eat you," Jackie told him just before their lips met, dissolving into giggles once more.
Michael shook his head as he pulled away, "You know there are times when I honestly don't know what to do with you," he told her, taking a pillow off the couch and hitting her with it.
