I don't own Fruits Basket
I'm usually not your let's-make-violent-stories type person, but hmmm I don't know.. the idea just hit me. :)
WARNING: It's not a dance through the meadows type story.
Kyo stared at the sky. Today's air seemed so heavy and dense. Was a thunderstorm approaching? Yuki was doing the same as Kyo. What was with this amazingly dragging down atmosphere? Tohru seemed to be ignorant of it. She was chattering away with Arisa and Hanajima. Suddenly, Yuki stood up. Kyo sat, frozen in fear. That thing they just saw...
PART 1: High School of the Dead!!
Everything happened so quickly, no one was sure exactly what was going on. But currently, Arisa, Yuki, and Kyo were trying to keep the door blocked.
BAM BAM BAM
The constant banging on the door followed by the moans of fellow students echoed through the hallways. They finally managed to create a barrage of desks and drawers/closets so nobody could get in. Exhausted, they sat down and looked at each other anxiously. Tohru started crying. She had never seen so much blood and murder. The horror of it all!
"Prince, when you alerted the class about some gruesome murder on the school grounds, what was it that you saw?" asked Arisa.
He shook his head. He was still shocked about these recent events. "At the school gate, this man was there and some teachers were yelling at him. When they opened the gates, the man jumped onto one of them and ... and...!"
"Tore him apart with his teeth and ate him alive." muttered Kyo.
Tohru was sobbing uncontrollably now. Hana patted her on the back as Arisa hugged her.
"So then... that student that came in, bleeding...!!" gasped Arisa.
"I couldn't sense any waves from him... It seems like the living dead has hit us." Hana said ever so calmly.
Silence fell. The moaning and screams were continuous. Then, it just stopped. Everyone shuddered at this.
"Hey, what do you think happened to Momiji and Haru?" Kyo mumbled.
"I don't know.. But let's hope for the best." Yuki answered.
During a time like this, it didn't matter whether there was a rivalry between two people. It was a matter of survival and keeping those alive to survive with you.
"I think it's lucky that the yankee still carries around an iron rod."
Images of their fellow classmates dying and tearing each other apart were still playing in everyone's minds. Since when did things like this happen? The stench of blood filled up the room. But their noses were already immune to it and their nerves immune to the grotesque display that was everywhere they looked. Hana stood up, still in a calm manner.
"I suppose the only thing we can do now, is figure how out how to get out and then take it to action."
"Why are you so calm? .. It's scary now.." said Arisa.
"I've read a lot of horror manga somewhat like this. I think their weak points are their heads and senses movement by heat and sound."
"What does she do in her spare time..." Kyo muttered.
"Ha-Hana-chan is right." Tohru blurted out. "We have to find a way to get out or-or we might not survive. But we should try to find any other survivors."
Yuki sighed. "Alright then. We'll have to gather weapons and be very cautious about it."
Arisa raised her finger. "Mission Get Out of School Safely While Finding Others is a go."
Even though these bold words were stated, they were still weak at their knees and trembling.
