I don't own Inuyasha and co and if I did I would put Sesshoumaru in some tight ass jeans with a skin tight shirt
"KAGOME" Inuyasha yells as she falls to the ground and he races towards her, stumbling in his hast to get to his fallen friend. When he reaches her he falls to his knees and pulls her in a slight embrace. "You idiot why did you get in the way like that?" he yells and he but you can see the worry in his eyes.
In one final attempt to stop Inuyasha Naraku attacked Kikyo while her back was turned. Kagome seeing this and knowing she wouldn't survive the hit pushed Kikyo to the ground taking the hit meant for her incarnate in the stomach. She didn't have much time left and knew she wouldn't survive so with her remaining strength grabbed on to the tentacle and poured all of her remaining power in to it.
Naraku was dead but with a heavy price.
Kagome looks up at Inuyasha and smiles at him with blood dribbling down her chin. "I told you I would do anything to give you your happily ever after. Now hand me the Jewel so I can make the wish."
And as she lay dying in Inuyashas' arms Kagome closed her eyes and made a wish….
5 years later…
"Hey Kikyo have you seen Kagome around?" Inuyasha asked his mate of four years.
"No I haven't Inuyasha check at Kaede's" Replied the priestess as she sat in the garden planting herbs.
"Ok thanks" Inuyasha took two steps when he was plowed into his legs he looks down into the smiling face of his four year old daughter. His heart constricted at the sight. She was so much like his beloved friend it took all he had not to bust out crying.
"Hi daddy you wanted me?" She said in a happy voice, staring up adoringly at her father.
"Ya I did Kagome, Im headed over to Sango's and Miroku's would you like to come?"
"Yes I would and can we stop by the God Tree? PLEEEEESSEE!" She asked pleadingly giving him her best puppy dog eyes.
"Now how can I say no to that face?" And she squealed in delight as Inuyasha picks her up and places her on his shoulders. "You want me to tell you about her don't you? About the one you're named after?"
"Yes daddy." Kagome said in a small voice knowing that it made him feel sad but also knowing he would tell it. He always did.
"Kagome was clumsy and always wound up in the most bizarre situations, she was brash and reckless and had a temper to match an angry bull demon. But... also kind and caring, always putting everyone before herself If she thought she could save someone, no matter the coast to her she would do so. No matter how much pain she would be in she would help everyone else before herself. I loved her very much for she was my best friend and stuck by my side no matter what. She was loyal to a fault and never gave up." He was now standing at the tree and placed a flower on her grave walking away holding his little girl tight with tears running unchecked down his face.
