Dear Everlasting Cat,
What a time to be alive. To be a Jellicle. It's really, very- just, wow. Thank you. You did this. You made this life happen, for all of us.
Most cats have nine lives, but Jellicles have hundreds, because you keep writing. Our stories were written, but that wasn't enough for you. You kept going. You kept adding.
You've made us fall in love, you've made us fall apart, and you'll do it again. You allow us to exist. You write our stories, then you re-write them. You bring us up to the Heaviside Layer and start all over. We've lived hundreds of lives in your care, and we will live hundreds more, if only you are willing.
Without you, we would fade away, into distant memory. You could ignore us. Neglect us. Move on to other characters, but you don't. You haven't. Instead, you have cared for us, tortured us, brought us joy and brought us heartache. Most of all, though, you have loved us. You have loved us enough to keep us alive through all these years.
You have given us more love and attention than we ever could have expected. We are just Jellicle cats, just characters, just stories, just poems in a book. You could leave us be and let our lives end at that, but you don't. You revive us. You are what gives us life.
Do you see where I'm going with this?
You let the memory live again.
Thank you, Everlasting Cats.
