Why Socks Go to Narnia

College had taken its toll on everyone, especially 18 year old Kazu who seemed to be losing more and more socks every time he did his laundry. This time he sat in the laundry room for the full two hours that it would take for his clothes to clean. Determined, this time, to not let Narnia grab his socks. Finally the clothes in the dryer stopped turning and he began to pull them out, making sure that he counted every sock like he did prior to washing them.

"16, 17, 18…" Kazu quickly scrambled through the dryer to make sure that he left none in there and then began to recount all his socks. "ONLY 18!!!!!"

Soon Kenta came in with his laundry bag and began to take his clothes out of the dryer.

"What's wrong?" Kenta looked at his friend who was starting to have a break down.

"Only 18, there's only 18 socks…there were 20 when I started…" Kazu clenched onto Kenta. "Do you know what this means?"

"You're missing two socks?"

"Not only that, but Narnia has stole them again!!!!!" Kazu collapsed on the floor.

"I'm sure they're attached to your clothes." Kenta reassured.

"No, they're not Narnia keeps taking them and I want to know why."

"Ok…" Kenta said.

"Have you ever noticed that they don't take your bad socks, you know the ones with the holes in them!" Kazu stated. "Narnia likes the best, that's why they steal my good socks!"

"Don't you have homework to do?" Kenta asked nervously.

"How can I worry about homework when Narnia keeps stealing my socks?!?!?!?!"

"Well look Kazu I really have to go," Kenta said as he inched to the door making sure not to turn his back to Kazu. "Let me know if they turn up." Kenta quickly scooted out of the room.

"Oh, but they wont turn up, no." Kazu spoke to himself. He stuck his head in the dryer and looked all around. "I'm on to you Narnia."

Ryo walked into the room with a basket of dirty clothes and opened up one of the washers and began putting his things inside. He looked over at Kazu who still had his head in the dryer.

"Is that you, Kazu?" Ryo asked as he stopped putting clothes in the washer and walked over to Kazu.

"I think I know why my socks go to Narnia!"

"Narnia?" Ryo asked as his friend took his head out of the dryer, his hair covered in lint.

"It's because the dryer is too hot, so they plan they're escape to Narnia where it's cooler."

Ryo stared at Kazu puzzled.

"I'M ON TO YOU SOCKS!" Kazu shouted as he left the room with his clothes.
