Freddie's P.O.V.

I parked the car on the parking lot of my building. I was pretty tired. I felt like I haven't slept in weeks. Being a professor in the Technical College is not an easy work for a 23 year old guy.

I went to 10th floor and unlocked my apartment door. The moment I walked in Sam jumped on me and started planting kisses all over my face.

"What is going on baby?" I managed to say between the kisses she was giving me.

"The agent called. We got it. The house is ours. It is ours." She was overwhelmed, hugging me tight and so happy that my heart jumped high.

"Really?" I put her down and she was crying from joy. It was the most beautiful moment in my life.

"Yes. We have our own house. We got it" she was saying over and over again. It was hard to believe that was the same Sam.

I went behind her and hugged her really close. I thought that was the best moment. "Marry me!" I whispered in her ear.

"What?" she turned to look at me with smile on her face.

"I said marry me! I love you and there is nothing else that I want in this whole world"

"Oh Freddie…I…I can't marry you" My heart sank. The woman I loved the most was saying me no. My tears were ready to fall down.

"Why? Is there some other guy?" I wanted to hide it somewhere for the rest of my life.

"No dummy! You're not doing it right. Where is the old getting down on one knee and the velvet little box with the ring in it? Where is the little 'I love you' speech? When I get all of this I will rethink my decision." She said. I felt relieved. She was just messing with me. My heart started pounding really fast.

I took her hand and got down on one knee. I swear I saw her mischievous smile. I cleared my throat and said "Samantha Joy Puckett will you do me the honor to be my wife?"

She looked me in the eyes with questioning look but in a few minutes later, enough to get me really nervous, she smiled widely.

"I'll stop teasing you. Yes of course I will marry you baby." I stood up and kissed her like there was no tomorrow.

"I promise I will buy you the prettiest ring ever made." I have to admit that she really deserved that ring.

"I don't need no ring to know I love you Freddie."

"But I want you to wear it. So the other men would know you are engaged and they can back off."

"Someone is jealous ha?" she asked and laughed at me.

"Like crazy!" I said and kissed her again. She snaked her hands around my neck and I put mine around her waist. God I love this girl no matter how miserable she made my life in high school. She is the one!
