Single and Split

The simple story

Of a sad man began

With a half marred face

And an iron cage

Our good golden boy

With sequins in his eyes

Was quickly disillusioned

When a silver tongued snake

Bit into his mind

The poison eats in fractions

And leaves the victim compromised

With two thirds of a heart

And a quarter of a spine

Guts left in tenths

A brain split in two

Half a man in his own right

He's a small boy left in pieces

And a single sequin

Is mercifully left

In a single golden eye
