Zeus Plugs
"I told you where they are," a voice called from outside the TARDIS door. "In the cupboard, behind the fish tank."
Romana rose to her feet, sighing heavily. That was all well and good but the TARDIS felt like it had an infinite amount of cupboards, not to mention an infinite number of ways to organise them. In reality, the type 40 only had 80,973 cupboards, approximately. And Romana was well aware of this as she trudged to yet another whilst the Doctor propped himself up against the door, scarf blowing delicately in the wind.
The next attempt, she found a significant number of tapes of numerous varieties. Cassettes, video, parcel… but a distinct lack of fish tanks. One of these days, she decided she would seriously consider regenerating in order to organise this machine in a thoroughly sensible manner. This current incarnation didn't have time to bother with such frivolous matters. Anything had to be better than the Doctor's organised chaos. She wrinkled her nose, knowing full well he'd blame it on entropy.
"We haven't got decades, you know, Romana. The Key to Time won't find itself."
Romana sighed and muttered incoherently under her breath as she wandered into an unused bedroom and opened the modest cupboard underneath the bedside table. A ridiculously small fish tank inhabited it, behind which the zeus plugs were hidden. Removing the offending article from the tracer, Romana carefully selected a new zeus plug, clicked it into place and put the tracer back together.
As the TARDIS door clicked shut, Romana's voice echoed around the console room.
"A bed side table? Honestly Doctor, who ever thought of putting zeus plugs there?"
