Authors note: This is my first fic, so I don't know how to rate it…. Oh, well. I hope you enjoy, and please review!
His Worst Rival.
Kagome had finally passed the English test. After studying all night, there was no reason for her not to. Now she walked home, in good spirits but exhausted. She knew she wouldn't be able to sleep in her time tonight, seeing as one cranky hanyo was waiting for her at her house. She sighed and continued shuffling past the people, buildings, cars, and other sights that made up her home town of Tokyo, Japan.
She was about to turn the corner towards her home when she ran smack into the person in front of her. The result was for both teens to fall backwards, landing painfully on their rears.
"Watch it!" came the angry/cranky cry from in front of her. It was a voice she knew all too well. Inuyasha.
"Sorry, Inuyasha," she said mechanically. Having not looked up yet, she stayed on the sidewalk, expecting to be lifted by the back of her shirt and taken away, like the princesses in the stories her mother used to read her. She could only hope he was dressed half normally. It came as a shock, however, when a pair of sneaker-clad, baggy-jeaned legs came into view. That was weird. He never dressed completely human. Of course, that was nothing compared to the reply she got.
"Man, I must have hit you harder than I thought. Did you just call me 'dog-demon'?" the wondering voice above her head said. Blinking, Kagome looked up. For a moment, the sun was in her eyes, but as she raised a hand to shield them, she was meet with the startling sight in front of her.
Had it been night, and a new moon at that, she wouldn't have thought twice. But it was strange that it was the middle of the day and Inuyasha was human. He had black hair, with the violet eyes that looked so angry and confused all the time. She looked stupidly up at him wondering what to say.
"Inuyasha, do you feel all right?" she asked lamely. This got an even more confused look out of Inuyasha.
"What are you calling me that for? My name's Nijgen."
P.S.: Sorry so short, but if I get some good reviews, I'll write more. Bye!
