Knowing about the Grey Lady

Harry was walking up to the Headmistress' office when he saw the broken pieces of the diadem on the seventh floor. This gave him an idea. Perhaps he should tell Professors McGonagall and Flitwick about the Grey Lady, and ask them to keep it secret.

He spoke the password to the staircase and went up. In the office were all the Heads of Houses and the Headmistress. He took a deep breath and told them about it.

"Professors, I'm wondering if you know about the Grey Lady, about whom she really is?" said Harry.

All the Professors shook their heads or said no.

"During the battle she told me where the diadem was," Harry finished.

The teachers eyes became round as coins.

"The reason she knew where it was, is because she is, was, Helena Ravenclaw, daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw," Harry said with sadness in his voice, "she sought to be wiser than her mother and stole it. She went to Albania and hid the diadem in the hollow of a tree. The man she loved was sent to find her but when she refused to return home he became violent and killed her. On seeing and realizing what he had done, the Baron killed himself with the same weapon that took Helena's life." Harry finished.

"Wait, you said the Baron, do you mean the Bloody Baron?" Professor Slughorn asked.

"Yes, I do," said Harry.

"Could we keep this between us until the Grey Lady says we can tell everyone," Harry asked.

The teachers nodded their heads with tears in their eyes.
