Hey all! I would like to apologise for not updating in so long. If anyone still follows my stories, sincerest apologies, I will do my darndest to write up the next few chapters of 'Flames of Ice'. Truth is, I've kind of lost enthusiasm for it. Hence this story – tis a bit of a plot bunny that seemed small from a distance, but as it came closer it was the size of a house and took my brain by storm. I've been hostage ever since. Trying to get rid of it by going with it. Hope you like it! It is basically a story made from songfics... but I know how annoying lyrics in songs can be, so I may quote the words here and there, but I will put the name of the song and band at the beginning of the fic and the words at the end of each story. Enjoy my overly large bunny. x

Chapter 1: The Invitation

Katara squealed in excitement. Flying into the living room of their temporary home in Ba Sing Se, she held it out to the others. "Look what I just got." She said with a grin. Sokka slouched over and peered at it, clearly unimpressed.

"A ball Katara?"

She nodded fervently in response. Aang rushed over for a closer look.

"This looks great!"

"I know! We'll have to dress up though – "

"A ball Katara?"

Sokka interrupted. Hands on hips, she stared him down.

"Yes Sokka, a ball."

At this point, Toph chimed in.

"I'm not going. There is no way you're getting me into some fancy schmancy dress to sway like an idiot to bad music with a bunch of hoity toity guys."

Katara smirked.

"It's a masquerade ball. You'd have a mask – no one would know it was you..."

"No. I'm not going to a ball, I'm not wearing a dress, and I'm most certainly not wearing a mask!"

TiMe WaRp

"I can't believe I'm at a ball, wearing a dress and this stupid mask."
