A/N: Just some E/O fluff to brighten the day… Hope you enjoy! R&R!

They were in the precinct early, both with too much time on their hands. They decided to get to work on their paperwork in their inboxes, which they both loathed doing. But it had to be done, and either way, they were going to do it.

Olivia and Elliot had been working for about two hours, when Olivia dropped her pen on her desk and stopped writing. When Elliot shot her a weird look, she said, "My hand cramped. I need a few minutes." She drummed her fingers against her desk restlessly, her hands on her desk.

Seeing how distraught she was, Elliot took her hands in his. Olivia felt her stomach flip and her heart yearn for him, and she smiled when he held her hands. "Liv, don't stress about paperwork now, it's too early." He smiled at her, and began tracing a pattern in the palms of her hands with his thumbs.

"I know," Olivia breathed. She bit her lip, and looked back up at him. His blue eyes twinkled at her, knowingly and caringly. It was their secret way of communicating; they could both read each other just by their eyes.

"Elliot, why do we do this?" Olivia asked him, looking at his hands.

"Because we feel as though it's our right. We both have our reasons, too, which are a big part of it." He didn't want to say, 'Because you were a product of rape and you don't want anyone else to suffer through what you did.'

"Why couldn't we have become dentists, or something? We may not be saving lives, but we'd be saving tooth decay." She smirked.

Elliot laughed. "Because tooth decay is boring." He leaned his face closer, looking up at her. He felt proud of himself as he saw Olivia chuckle.

"Your hands are warm." Olivia said, softly. She noticed that he was doing the same pattern over and over again in her palms, but she didn't care. She was just enjoying the warmth of her partner's touch.

"Is that a bad thing?" He asked, playfully but a little bit concerned.

Olivia quickly shook her head, in fear that he would retract his hands. "No. I like it. It's the only warmth I've felt in a long time." She smiled at him.

Suddenly but expectedly, Cragen walked to them. At first, he only noticed the detective's hands intertwined with one another's, but he didn't question it. Instead, he said, "New case. My office." He then walked back.

Elliot slowly re-treated his hands, and got up to follow Cragen. Olivia still sat at her desk, paying more attention to the pattern Elliot was drawing on her palms. Scrunching her eyebrows, she quickly took out a Post-It, and redrew the pattern, which read:

I 3 you

Olivia felt her heart stop. She then smiled, and walked behind Elliot to Cragen's office.

Once the meeting was done, Elliot walked out first into the chilly outside. "Elliot, wait!" Olivia called to him. He stopped, and turned around.

Catching up to him, Olivia grabbed his hands, and traced with her thumbs, "I love you, too".

Watching her hands as she traced in his, he looked up at her when she was done. Once he looked up, Olivia put a hand on his neck, and pulled him to her lips. He put his hand on her waist, letting her lips collide into his. Once pulling back, she let her hand rest on his neck. She let it slide up to his hair, and she ruffled it. "So," she said, after a minute, "Are you driving, or am I?"
