This is Scribbles I's Disney Character Challenge: 1 Disney character, 25 prompts, and 300 words each. It is also my first attempt at a challenge, so let's see how it goes.
I'm going to be writing this about Jack Skellington, and I'm going to try to make it so I publish the last chapter on Halloween, schools where I live have the last Thursday and Friday of October off, so that will help a lot. Anyways, let's begin.
AN: This takes place in Kingdom Hearts Halloween Town, but uses the layout from The Nightmare before Christmas
Disclaimer: I do not own Kingdom Hearts or The Nightmare before Christmas

The sky was orange, an eternal dusk, broken up only by the long, black nights. The streets were filled with cracks, and various spiny weeds were growing out of them. The buildings were all made of either rotting wood, or cold, moldy stone. In one of the tallest buildings, a tower, a man was pacing in his study.
"What to do, what to do," the figure said. "The last two years were terribly un-spooky. The heartless were too cute, and trying to use a scarecrow based on that boy wasn't nearly as good at scaring as the real one would have been. I need new ideas."
The man stepped out to his balcony, looking over the town. He was rather tall, and quite skinny. He wore a black suit, was bald, and had two black holes where his eyes should have been. "Maybe I'm just not scary anymore," he sighed, "It may be time for me to retire and find a successor." He hung on to that last word, and then he just sighed again.
"Maybe if I go for a walk, things will become clearer." He walked down the steps slowly, passing all of his failed ideas along the way. He opened the door slowly and stepped outside. "At least the weather is lovely; the sky's a lovely shade of orange, like pumpkins."
He headed to the graveyard, where he came up with all of his great ideas. When he got there, he noticed a girl covered in stitches standing behind one of the graves. "Hi Sally," he said half-heartedly.
"What's wrong, Jack? You're usually so happy."
"I don't know, I'm just not…scary anymore. It may be time for me to retire, pass the torch to a younger generation."
"You don't believe that. I know you don't. You're Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, and the scariest person in all of Halloween Town. No one can take your place."
"You know what," he replied with a new determination, "you're right. I'm Jack Skellington, The Pumpkin King! Thanks for that, Sally, you always know just what to say." With that, Jack whistled. Something that looked like a handkerchief with a red nose flew up. "Come on, Zero, we've got plans to make!" And with that, Jack ran off with a reignited fire, a new determination to make the spookiest Halloween ever.
Well, how was it? I need to work on the length, 390 words '_
