Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who. I wish I owned River Song, and if I did it would mean I'm a silent and you'll forget about that as soon as you take your eyes off, so it's ok.
Author's note: My first and probably last fic. I'm not a good writer but I wanted to try... English isn't my first language, so feel free to correct me.
She didn't know how it happend but they did it. The Angel had trapped her.
Amy couldn't remember seeing her crying since the day she was born. Those tears frightened Amy to death.
"Just... Just go. Please"
The Angel was trapping her child.
So why was that stupid planet still turning?
"I am NOT going anywhere whithout you! Understand?"
She felt suddely angry towards her. How could she... How did she DARE to even think of that! Leaving her? Never. Never again.
"Mother... The Angel... It's holding me too tight. I can't move. Not even see it. There's nothing you can do"
'Shut up!' Amy thought. She had started crying too.
"Please... Save yourself at least. It only needs one of us."
Amy couldn't help shouting at her stupid, stupid daughter.
"I've lost you once! Do you know how that feels? No, of course not, 'cause you don't have children! I'll tell you then."
Amy knew she was hurting her, but that didn't make her stop.
"Hell. Pure bloody Hell. I am no certainly going through that again"
Her husban was dead. Her mad best friend was trapped only God knows where, not coming for them.
"We've always been together. All the time. We grew up together, shared our toys, spent days just chatting in my bedroom.
Tears wew just pouring out of Amy's eyes.
"Then you were older and we had adventures, us, the Ponds and the Doctor. Then you were born, and taken away from me. And all the time we had doesn't prevent me from wanting to rescue you from the silence so that I could just hold you once more."
And then she knew. She knew what to do and how to do it.
"I'm not letting you go"
Amy closed her eyes for one second, and moved, faster than she ever did. Impossibly fast. And when she felt an arm around her neck, she knew she had made it.
"There's always a way out"
She couldn't help not to smile.
"No! Mother! What have you done!"
Her daugter looked shocked. Her green, perfect eyes, filled in terror...
"Switched us. I saved you. At last."
Amy started laughing. How could she? She was going to die, after all.
"But why, why mother! I'm not leaving you either!"
Yes, she was dying. But she had saved her child.
"The first time I held you... You were so beautiful you know. The best thing that ever happen to me, though I knew that you were going to be taken, that I couldn't promise anyting to you. 'What you are gonna be, Melody, is very very brave. This is what I told you."
She hated seeing her that hurt. But this was the right thing.
"Go on then. Be brave." She said with a smile, which suddely disappeard "And... Try and see if you find the Doctor."
"Mother..." tears just poured from her perfecr eyes.
"Don't worry. I know."
Just one more thing.
"Please take this"
She tended her only free arm towards her daughter. In her hand, there was the old prayer leaf.
"The tradition says that of you keep this with you your children are always going to come back to you." She smiled again "Seems to really work"
She took it, almost unbelieving.
"Goodbye, Melody"
And with the same free arm she closed those green eyes.
Just a few seconds.
