hurricane
a story of what was (never) meant to be
Standing here in the ghost of a tower that once was, Eusine peers down the hole in the floor at the legendary beast he has been pursuing all his life— he's so close to, yet so far from, finally achieving his dream. He breathes in the scent of dust and smoke and all things unpleasant, a vague sense of accomplishment filling his bones.
And then she walks in through the entryway, an angel in the land of the dead. The instant Eusine sees that endearing (hideous) white hat, he is bombarded by a hurricane of emotions— of admiration, of infatuation (of hostility, of jealousy).
He introduces himself to the young girl, noting her fiery (lifeless) eyes.
(a puppet forced by society to do the good thing, the right thing— eusine feels his passive expression twist into disgust as soon as she turns)
He watches as she makes her way downstairs, into the shadows of the past— watches as the girl with the passionate (empty) gaze meets eyes with Suicune.
Love (hate) fills his body until his face turns red and his limbs are shaking and he wants to kiss (wants to punch) her.
And on that day, as he walks out of the tower, Eusine promises himself that he will make this beautiful girl his, regardless of dreams and fantasies of wild blue beasts—
(and on that day, as he walks out of the tower, eusine tells himself that suicune was always meant to be his, right from the start; and on that day, he promises himself that he will not let this disgusting girl defeat him)
