Those emerald eyes... Syaoran sure did remember them. He remembered how they'd light up when she was having fun. How they'd narrow when he got in an argument with her. How they cried when he had left to go home...
Yes, Syaoron remembered that very well. He looked at the teddy bear in his hand and smiled softly. He was going back. He was going to see her again. He had been waiting to see her for years now. He missed her so much. He stood up, grabbed his luggage and made his way to the airport.
Those amber eyes... Sakura sure did miss them. She would be lying if she said she sometimes doubted whether or not he would return to her. It had been so long. She wanted nothing more than to stare into those deep amber eyes and say...
"I love you..."
"Huh? It's just cake Sakura." She blinked and looked in front of her. Yukito was holding a piece of cake to her
Sakura turned several shades of red, realizing she said her thoughts aloud. "Oh, uh sorry Yukito. I was just thinking about him..."
Yukito chuckled and patted her head. "He'll come back one day Sakura, don't worry."
Sakura smiled and nodded, grateful for his support. She ate her cake, and smiled. Chocolate... his favorite.
Syaoran didn't care if he looked silly, leaning against a wall, holding a green teddy bear. He was back in Japan. He was finally going to see her again. So who cared if he looked silly? All he cared about was seeing her. Embracing her, and maybe even kissing her. But most of all, he wanted to get lost in those innocent emerald eyes of hers. So he waited, on this specific corner, on this specific route, in the direction of a specific school. Waiting.
Sakura was running as quickly as she could. She was going to be late for school at this rate. She was almost there, just turn one more corner and she'd make it. Someone was in the way.
"Excuse me!" Sakura called as she got neared the person. When he turned around to look at who called to him, she stopped dead in her tracks.
His eyes widened as she walked to him. "Sakura...?" He whispered.
Sakura smiled widely. "Syaoran-kun!" She leaped into his arms.
Syaoran hugged her tightly. "It really is you, Sakura..."
She nodded and nuzzled against him. "Syaoran... now we can be together forever right?"
Syaoran touched her soft brown hair. "Of course..."
Finally they looked up at each other again. Finally emerald and amber we're reunited. And they were determined to never lose each other again.
