Hey there. This is my first fanfic so I wanted to start easy so I aimed for a one-shot. I hope you like it. I'd like to thank Luna1998, Emily-lila and my best friends sister (she doesn't have an account) for reading this over prior to me posting. Thanks and enjoy
He looked so beautiful when he was asleep. Black, jaw length hair covered over his handsome face. Soft, pale skin that reflected the sunlight that was seeping through the curtains. Delicate eyelids, studded with the blackest lashes, protected bright blue eyes so bright that they would put the moon to shame. Complex black runes entwined his muscular arms and back. A scent of sandalwood floated around him. Magnus Bane lay awake, taking in the Shadowhunter that has laid in his bed many times before. He still found new things about Alec that he hadn't noticed before like the way his skin showed a pale blue vein on his neck and how he glowed in the light like he had light inside of him.
Magnus started at the hair of his sleeping beauty, focusing in on each strand of hair and how dark it was. His eyes trailed down to Alec's neck, the blue vein barely visible in the dawn light was pulsing with a relaxed heartbeat, over his shoulder blades and down his right arm. The now fading itraze on Alec's bicep caught Magnus's attention but he continued to trail his gaze down Alec's arm and down to his hand. Taking in the slim fingers that have become calloused from demon hunts. Magnus's gaze went back to Alec's spine, going down to the silence rune on the small of Alec's back. Magnus wondered if Alec went on a stealth hunt or, because he came back late at night whilst Magnus was asleep, he drew it on so he wouldn't wake the warlock. Either way, Magnus's eyes lay on Alec's hips. Alec had an unusual curve to his stomach. A slight curve that started at the base of his rib-cage down to a dip round his abdomen to rise again at his hip.
Magnus knew well enough that one day, that skin that shined so radiantly would be dull and wrinkled. Alec's face would be more hard-set with the occasional stubble along his jaw. Eyes that were once luminous enough to brighten a room would be dull and lifeless. Steel gray would streak through black hair whilst Magnus remained youthful. He pushed away the thought with some effort. He hated that idea but it was inevitable if he kept his immortality.
He reached out and touched Alec's hip bone with his finger, Alec jolted but relaxed. Magnus slid one arm are under Alec's hip, running his hand over Alec's toned torso to his shoulder while the other arm wrapped itself over Alec's stomach to draw Alec closer. The shadowhunter shifted under his touch and turned his head to gaze at Magnus.
"Magnus?" Alec whispered.
"Yes?" Magnus murmured back.
Alec simply smiled and whispered, barely audibly, "I love you"
He turned his head back to its former position. Magnus buried his head in the crook of Alec's neck and smiled.
"I love you too" he said.
Alec was his imperfect perfection and that is what he will always be.
So, what do you think. hope you liked it! I am planning on posting a full length chapter fic so hold on for that but until then, review and favorite thanks
