When Our Heroes re-enter Central City and take the palace back, the princesses have an important decision to make.
Az looked over at DG and narrowed her eyes menacingly. DG pursed her lips in determination. She crouched lower, ready to spring forward. This is for keeps, she thought.
"Ready little sister?" Az asked, smirking.
"I was born ready," DG answered.
"Then... GO!"
The two princesses were off, racing down the hallway in stocking feet, skirts flapping around their calves. DG had pulled ahead by the time they reached the end of the hallway that opened onto the second floor landing. She gave a little leap that put her feet slightly ahead of her, and behind her Az did the same. Together, they slid rather less than gracefully across the marble landing, legs wobbling and arms pin wheeling. Suddenly, one of DG's feet caught on the floor, and ceased sliding. With a yelp, she stumbled, spun around, and fell on her behind. She looked up just in time to see Az glide past her, an enormous grin on her face. With a "Whoof!" she hit the banister at the far end of the landing, and stopped. Az thrust one fist into the air, laughing and crying, "I win! I win!" She was laughing too hard to stay upright, and she slid down the banister to the floor, clutching her sides.
DG smacked the floor playfully with her hand, and said, "Damn, foiled again. The day is yours, sis. Which room do you want?"
