Welcome to my new story! This one is a comedy/fluff I've been wanting to write for the last few weeks. I hope you guys like it!

Hermione looked around the house, making sure everything was ready for the big night she had planned with Harry. She had decided, on a whim, to surprise him for his birthday but not in the same typical way that she normally would have done. This was the first time in awhile that Ron and the others had prior commitments they could not get out of so it would just be the two of them.

For the past week, she had been trying to think of something spontaneous to do for him for his birthday. Lately, they had both been having a rough time at work and they were both very stressed out about assignments that were due and because of that, they had been arguing about stupid things. They both knew it was nothing personal, however, when pressure got too high, they did not really care who they yelled at, as long as they were able to let off some steam.

Tonight was the start of a long weekend for them since Christmas was right around the corner and she planned on making tonight very enjoyable.

All she had to do was wait for Harry to get home.

Meanwhile, Harry was rested his head on his work desk, relieved that he was, finally, done with his assignments until after their break. It had been one hell of a week and he wanted nothing more than to just go home and spend the rest of the night with Hermione. He had been having day dreams about having dinner and kicking up their feet, watching a movie or some other mindless activity until they later took things to the bedroom. He had been a jerk to her these last few days, taking out his stress by yelling at her about things that did not matter and he was determined to make it up to her tonight.

"Hey, Harry." Ron's voice came cheerfully from the office door. Harry lifted his tired head to look over at him. Ron's face fell. "You don't look too well."

"Thanks, Ron. I've always admired your honesty." Harry responded, sarcastically. He stood up from the desk and stretched. "It's been a rough week. What's going on?"

"Well, I came to ask if you had that report on the whereabouts of Dolohov?" asked Ron, hopefully.

Harry looked around his desk and in the drawers but to no avail. He thought for a moment, knowing that he definitely had them at some point before remembering he had taken them home to study. Harry had taken a particular interest in this case as he would love to be the one to catch him for what he had done to Hermione in the Department of Mysteries. Dolohov had better hope that when that day came, that Harry did not kill him.

"Ugh, I left them at home. I can apparate home and get them for you if you are in a rush." offered Harry.

Ron thought for a moment. "Actually, do you mind if I come with you? I haven't seen Hermione in awhile. I won't stay long. I've got too much to do."

Harry shrugged. "Sure, you can stay for dinner at least, right?"

Ron had a look of mock offense on his face. "Harry, after ten years of friendship, you should know that I would never turn down a meal."

The two friends laughed and, once Harry was ready, they apparated to the Potter household.

Once they got to the front door, Harry opened it to reveal both a startling and wonderful sight.

Hermione, who was lying on the couch completely naked, jumped up when she saw Harry enter the room, but as soon as she saw Ron, jaw dropped, right behind him, she desperately began to claw for the knitted afghan that they had on the couch to wrap around herself. Before Harry or Ron could say anything, she darted to the bedroom, unaware that the afghan did not cover her whole body.

The men stood in the doorway of the house for what seemed like hours til Harry finally said, "Well, I guess I'll get you those papers and some food to go, then?"

Ron blinked curiously for a moment before remembering the whole reason he came along. "Oh, yeah. Thanks, Harry." He had disappeared and came back within a few minutes. "Sorry 'bout that, mate. I guess we should have sent word that you were bringing a guest first." At this point, Ron was trying to keep himself from laughing at the situation.

Harry smiled. "I guess so. Hey, don't mention this to anyone, please. She will never forgive either of us if this got out."

"Sure, mate." Ron gave a short laugh. "Take care of her." And with that he disapparated.

"It's not funny, Harry." yelled Hermione, burying her head into the pillow in embarrassment. Harry had been laughing from the moment he had entered the bedroom. "Why didn't you owl me to tell me Ron was coming?"

Harry tried to catch his breath before answering. "I'm sorry, love, but it was so sudden. He needed a report that I had left here and he wanted to come see you and..and I guess he did." He began laughing again.

"Harry, you can be such an ass! That was so embarrassing." Hermione lifted her face from the pillow and to Harry's horror, he saw tears in her eyes.

He, instantly, stopped laughing and walked over to their bed. "'Mione, I'm sorry. You're right. It's not funny."

"I just wanted to do something spontaneous for you since we've been having a very stressful week and thought I'd put something together for your birthday since it's just the two of us." Hermione explained before adding, "Well, I thought it would be just the two of us."

Harry, stifling his laughter a bit, took Hermione in his arms. "Hermione, I appreciate everything you do for me. I know I've been a total jerk to you this week and this...incident did not help matters." She had her face turned away from him but he put his hand on the side of her face so he could turn her face took into his eyes. "I love you. I am glad that I have such a sexy wife to come home to every night. I am the envy of every man in the office."

A small smile tugged at Hermione's lips. "I love you, too, Harry. That's why I wanted to do this. I cooked a nice dinner and thought that surprising you like this would work and bring a spice to our lives."

Harry pulled her closer to him. "Well, you did surprise me so I guess we can call that part of the plan a success." Hermione slapped his chest and Harry gave a small chuckle. "Why do you think we needed to spice up our lives?"

Hermione hung her head a little. "Well, do you remember how I used to be called 'boring'?" Harry nodded, frowning. "I was thinking about that the other day and was thinking that since we've been at each others' throats lately, that maybe I had become to boring for you."

Harry pulled her away again, searching her eyes. "Hermione, listen to me. I will always love you. You are absolutely not boring in the slightest. You are beautiful, smart, sexy, and the best wife I could ever ask for and you are giving me something special that I've wanted my entire life." He rested his hand on her swollen stomach. "I love you with everything I am and I will love our little one, as well. You are my everything in this world, Hermione, and my heart beats for the both of you."

Hermione teared up again but this time they were tears of joy. "Thank you, Harry. I love you and our child with every breath in my body." She kissed him and their passions grew deeper before Hermione pulled away and said, "Don't you want to have your dinner?"

Harry smiled down at his lovely wife. "I think I can wait, I'd rather show you how much I appreciate your surprise for my birthday."

The two of them laughed as they continued to explore each other and giving into their urges.

To Harry, this was the best birthday he had ever had.

This was just a quick, little one-shot that I've had in my head for awhile and I had to get this out. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I loved writing it. If you liked this story, please feel free to read my other stories like "Not All is Lost" or "What Is Love?". Thank you guys for the support you give! I have another story in mind and it will probably be another one shot but I'll also have another chapter story soon as well. Thank you again!
