I'd come to terms with camp. Not everyone was going to like me. But I did have my own little family. And I had Percy. Or, had that been a dream? If it was, it was a strange dream. I went to put my hands to my face, and found that I couldn't move one. I opened my eyes and saw that Percy was asleep beside me. So it wasn't a dream. I slowly pulled out my arms from under Percy and sat up.
"Mm... What time is it?"
I looked at the time on Percy's watch, and saw that it was early morning. It was strange, I didn't even remember falling asleep.
"It's early..."
Percy laughed and held his hand out. I gave him his watch and he just looked at it. A small smile appeared on his lips.
"It's not that early... Want to practice a bit before everyone else wakes up?"
"Sure, more time with you..."
I pulled on a pair of jeans and a top, and saw that Percy was just holding his shirt. Even in the dark, I could see was Percy was looking at. There was a large mud stain on the back.
"Oops..."
Percy threw the shirt at me and it landed on my head. I pulled it off and threw it back at him before opening the door. The moon was just starting to set, making the camp look like something out of a horror movie. Percy and I walked over to the arena, and was glad no one was there.
"Nico?"
"Yeah?"
Percy was looking up at the sky, and I wondered what was on his mind. He looked back over at me and gave me a smile. It wasn't his normal goofy smile, it was more caring. I felt my face heating up, and looked down. Percy grabbed my hand and just held it.
"We'll be alright."
Percy pulled me into a hug and I just held on to him. Right now, he was my rock, and I wasn't going to let him go.
"Percy..."
"Yeah?"
"I think... I think I love you..."
Percy let out a quick laugh and gave me a kiss. It was short, soft, and to the point.
"I love you too, Nico."
