The first part of the next installment in the Proposal series.
Tony fixed his cufflinks as he jogged down the stairs. Gibbs was already waiting for him at the bottom.
"Hey you," Tony smiled, stopping in front of Gibbs and leaning into the hand that quickly rested on his hip. "Ready for your absolutely very last final ever bachelor party?" Tony's eyes were sparkling and it made Gibbs smile in return.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a party," Gibbs replied.
"Well, you did say you wanted something quiet. Besides, the Lincoln is a great restaurant. You'll love it." Gibbs made a non-commital sound and leaned in closer to Tony. As the older man began nuzzling his neck, Tony's smile grew. "Ducky and Fornell are meeting you there at seven," he reminded. "Jackson and my dad might be a little later."
Gibbs pulled back to look at Tony. "I'm gonna miss you tonight," he said earnestly.
"I'll miss you too, but we can't sleep in the same house the night before our wedding. It's bad luck."
"Think we've had enough of that," Gibbs conceded but still didn't let Tony go, which seemed just fine to Tony, who made no move to get away.
"Have you decided if you want to write your own vows?" Tony asked. It was just like Gibbs to put off something so important, but Tony knew better than to rush him.
"Hmm," Gibbs sighed. "That depends. Am I allowed to mention your ass a lot?"
"My ass?" Tony spluttered.
"Well, you've got a lot of it going," Gibbs smirked at Tony's incredulous look before continuing. "Hot. Tight. Wise. Smart." Tony hit Gibbs' arm playfully and made a show of trying to get away. Gibbs let him get a few inches before pulling him back, closer this time. With a rare, romantic smile, Gibbs said "How about… you had me at 'Freeze dirtbag'?"
Tony's face was a picture of happiness as he looked into Gibbs' eyes. Pushing forward, he kissed Gibbs. Then again. And again. Soon enough, they were pressed against the stairs, panting and laughing. "You think we've got time for a quickie?" Tony asked.
"I say we make time," Gibbs replied with a wicked smirk. "It's gonna be a long night before we make it to the altar."
Tony didn't need any more encouragement.
