Comments: I had this idea about someone losing their memory, and the other running away, I'm going to use it for another, longer story. But I kind of just had to get it out of my system. Please comment. Thanks.
Ruki ran as fast as possible. Threw his body out the door. Collapsing half way to the elevator. Pulling his small and shivering body up. Embracing his knees. Knuckles turning white. Ruki rocked back and forth. Tears were out of control.
New steps. Naked feet's stomping, then stopping. Looking down at Rukis small body curled to a ball. The bassist threw and locked his arms around Ruki. Pressing his small back to his chest til there was no space left. Sobs. Quivering lips. Shaking Ruki. Upset Ruki. Squeezing Ruki tighter.
"Don't cry for anyone else." Reita's selfish request was too much.
Ruki's eyes shot wide open. Freezing for a moment that seemed like forever. Quickly wiping away the streams of tears. Struggling out of the hug. Getting up so fast that Reita fell backwards on his ass. Startled. Staring curiously. Waiting for the next movement. But not expecting this.
"Don't you say that! Don't you dare! You don't love me, Reita. Not the same way. How can it ever be the same?"
Eyes swollen by tears. Voice shaking from the fear. Fear of losing what has already been lost. But how can it be lost when it has returned? Ruki pondered for a second. Staring straight ahead. He shook his head nervously and ever so gently over his shoulder to look down at the handsome blonde. Ruki's black bangs covering half his face.
"Suzuki Akira, you don't even remember me. Just stay away from me!"
Ruki's feet leaped for the elevator. Pushed the buttons twenty times too much. Too slow. He turned and disappeared down the stairs. Gone. Just like that. Taking his everything along with Reita's memory of himself. How stupid he would be to even think about following someone he himself had no recollection of. Even the blonde understood that much. But the pain was unimaginable.
When Ruki ran down. His tears stopped. Standing by the door. Not turning.
"Sayonara, Suzuki Akira."
He whimpered sadly to himself. Maybe, just maybe to make sure it was said and not only thoughts. Maybe so there would be no turning back. Breaking out the door and inhaling the air. Fresh and free. Dashing into the rain. Letting his tears fall. As he sobs inside. Here no one can tell rain and despair apart. Raindrops falling hard. Soaking Ruki in seconds. It could swallow him for all he cared. For he could never return to his pleasurable sin. That lover who was freedom, and the at the same time, beyond that. All that is left is the taste of the past. For he will not return to a stranger he love.
Easy. It is too easy. Way too fragile. Just see. With that, one man lost his reason for living.
