One night, ten year old Trucy Wright was crying. Her adoptive father, Phoenix Wright came in. "Hey, baby, whatever is the matter?" He asked. He sat beside her on the bed, and wrapped an arm around her. "N-Nothing, Daddy…" Trucy whimpered. "Hey, you can tell Daddy anything on her mind. Come on, tell me what's wrong. You know I hate to see you crying. It breaks my heart." Wright softly said. Trucy shuddered and kept quiet for a moment. "I want a mother, Daddy. I want a mother that can hold me close and warm. I want a mother that can smile and make me laugh at times…" Trucy admitted. "But… I can do those things for you! Are you saying you have had enough of me?" Wright asked. "No! It's not like that, I mean… I want a mother AND a father to love me and I'll love them back. Don't you want a wife, Daddy? Don't you want a woman whom you can love and never let her go?" Trucy said, putting on her cute irresistible eyes. "Both of my REAL parents had gone missing. I never experienced much about what is it like to have a mom and a dad." Wright was silent for a while. "Trucy, I don't know… This is not easy for me. I've had relationships with women before, but those weren't successful. I've been hurt many times, and I'm afraid you will too. I fear that I may be abandoned again and you'll get affected, just on time when you were so happy." Wright explained. "Please, Trucy… You need some sleep. Please." He gently pushed her to lie on her bed. "But, Daddy…" Trucy began. "Shh… Sleep now. I'll see you tomorrow morning. Good night, my sweet girl." Wright whispered. He gently placed a kiss on her forehead, smiled, then left Trucy's room.

That afternoon on the next day, when Wright picked up Trucy from school, Trucy was all smiles. "Hey, how come you're smiling brightly today?" Wright asked. "I've met someone today! I think of her as my mom!" Trucy replied. "Wow, really?" Wright chuckled. "Yep! She's a nice girl! I like her!" Trucy giggled. "What is her name?" Wright asked. "Look, look! I've got a picture of her, too!" Trucy reached in her pocket and brought out a camera. "Here is she! That boy with her is her son." She held up the camera. Wright's mouth dropped open once he saw the photo. "Trucy, this…" He began. "What? You know her?!" Trucy gasped. "Trucy… tell me her name, if she told you." Wright commanded. "She told me her name, and it's Maya Fey." Trucy answered. "Oh no…" Wright muttered. "Do you know her, Daddy? Is something wrong?" Trucy asked. "Yes, I do, Trucy. She is…my ex-wife."
