I've finally decided to go with the little voice in my head and begin my own drabble series! (If you aren't familiar with them, see Baron Hotschaft Von Hugenstein and nikkiRA's profiles.) My drabbles will be for all songs by The Veronicas, and will mostly be Malec. Yay! Although some might not, just to give you guys a break. :) I'm writing these mostly to improve my skill at writing drabbles, so please bear with me if everything goes downhill! Also, I won't be posting them as seperate fics, so as to save the MI archive some screen space.

Disclaimer: This goes for all of the drabbles. I don't own any of the lyrics to any of The Veronicas' songs, and I don't own any of the characters from the MI world. *tear*

So Persistent Is He

"I'm getting tired of you pushing me 'round
Dragging me down
Making a sound because you wanna
I guess that's why I like messing with you
Putting you through a lesson or two
Because I'm gonna
Before I go my own way
I just gotta say

Leave me alone
Get out of my face
I'm tired of love
Feeling so misplaced
Time for you to go
'Cause I'm better off on my own
Leave me alone
This isn't gonna work
Don't call me on the phone
Because I'm all out of words
I'll face the unknown
Thinking about all the ways that I've grown
Leave me alone
--"Leave Me Alone" by The Veronicas

Shout in his face, that's what Alec wanted to do. March right on up to him, make sure every pair of nosey parker eyes in the room were watching, and yell out loud:

"Why can't you understand?"

Because he wouldn't stop. He knew that Alec wanted him to quit with the foolishness, the endless canoodles and love games. Didn't he realize that Alec's heart belonged to another? Didn't he realize that the more he teased, the more he was being pushed away?

And the buzzing in his pocket interrupted his musing, and the voice on the other end was velvety smooth and lustful:

"My house tonight, Love."

And the phone flew across the room as Alec knotted his fingers through his hair, crying out in desperation and frustration.

But mostly desperation.

So, how was it? Good? Bad? Please let me know whether or not you enjoyed it and if it's worth continuing! Oh, and remember that Malec trilogy I mentioned back in "The Power of Sparkles"? That will be my main focus and will be posted soon, as this is only a side-project. :)
