A Rose's Thorns

Just ignore them, Rima, just ignore them, I repeated in my mind while staring at the bouncing curls of my petite friend walking in front of me. It was silly really, how I thought that maybe my words might somehow enter her mind. Chuckling hollowly, I shake my head at myself in embarrassment. I really did need to stop worrying about her, but I couldn't help it. Now that we were no longer children, but adults in our early twenties, Rima has bloomed into the most gorgeous flower, greatly overpowering any other female in my eyes. She was like a red rose resting in the center of colorless blossoms.

Of course, I wasn't the only one who thought that.

"Man, she looks so weak and fragile. It'd be very easy to get inside her." A man snickered to his friend as they slowly crept towards her, completely disregarding my presence.

My right eye twitched. Without thinking, I quickened my pace and ran my fist into where the vermin uttered those words.

Right. . . this was completely random. (And Nagi's a hypocrite we all know this.)

Review if you want. :)
