My next installment of my Bella/Edward growing up stories. This takes place junior year, in Washington D.C.
Bella looked around in awe as the group walked through the shiny glass doors.
"I can't believe we're in the American History Museum!" Bella exclaimed, "And I still can't believe we're in Washington D.C.!"
Edward smiled at her childlike excitement.
The many chaperones had informed the group they had two hours to tour the museum as they wished, as long as they stayed with a buddy.
"Wanna be buddies?" Edward murmured, standing beside Bella.
"I'd love to," Bella said, blushing slightly.
Edward grinned at Mike Newton, who started sulking when he saw that Bella already had a buddy.
The two decided to go all the way to the top floor, and work their way towards the ground.
Up and up they went, escalator after escalator.
Bella remembered one of her teachers saying you went up faster if you walked up the 'Up' escalator like stairs. So of course, she tried it.
And Edward saw her trip. He reached toward her, but Bella merely laughed and tried again. After watching her fall a second time, Edward grabbed her and held her still.
When they reached the top Bella could not stop laughing. And after a moment, neither could Edward.
"I can't believe," She gasped, "I made such a fool of myself," and after a pause, "in our nation's capitol!"
Edward chuckled, but soon stopped to admire how beautiful she looked when she laughed.
He shook his head. He promised her during eighth grade they would stay friends in highschool. He was not going to break his promise. He had made it through freshman and sophomore year, he could get to graduation.
But he never promised her not to love her.
A little different than my other ones, but I like it. It's definatly a lot shorter than the other ones too. Oh well. Oh, and the whole, falling up the 'Up' escalator in D.C... I did that. Twice, just like Bella. It's a wonder my parents named me Grace... Review please! And check out my profile for the prequals: Kindergarten and Homework.
