It was strange, it really was.
A dark haired woman stood sweeping away the dust and sand off her porch, her stomach was plump just reviling how far along she was; stopping she wiped the sweat off her forehead and rubbed her stomach.
"You better hurry up, little guy" she giggled as she banged the broom of the side of the porch, "I can't do much around the house with you in there" she left the broom leaning against the side of the house, walking into the livening room she called out to her young daughter.
"Azumi?" she asked "Azumi" she walked into the kitchen, admittedly she began to fear that someone had slipped in stole her right from under her nose, hurriedly walking into her five year olds room she let out a sigh when she say her sleeping.
Resting against the door frame she smiled softly, This was life she really wanted, A house, kids…a loving husband, a painful strike met her heart but she shook it off; she loved the man she was with…maybe just not as much as she loved him.
Feeling the baby kick she smiled as she closed the door and returned to the living room, "Hope his mission is going okay.." she muttered as she glanced up at the clock above the sink, "He hasn't been out this long since the baby.."
Seating herself down on the couch she glanced up a photo on the table, her wedding photo, she pushed a piece of raven hair be hind her ear and sighed as she rested her head on the armrest and mused over her husband.
He was tall, she loved tall men.
He had beautiful eyes, well eye…they were a dark green color and she could just get lost in them.
He was a kind man, yes Baki was a very kind person despite the way he looked.
Smiling to herself as she thought of him, he was a shy man too, that wasn't something she was used to, but she enjoyed it nonetheless and admittedly she sometimes liked to make him act that way.
But kind? She could never deny that, sighing a peace through marriage treaty…marrying a woman with a child, he even told her once they returned to his village that she didn't have to stay with him; that she could still live life as a free woman.
It was then and there she knew she wanted to stay with him, hearing the front door open she looked up, "Hi" she called out to him as he walked into the living room sitting down next to her, "About time you got back" she teased as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"Sorry Kurenai" he muttered as he kissed her, "I got held up with paperwork" he placed a hand on her stomach, "Feel him move today?" he asked as he nuzzled his nose in her hair, Kurenai giggled softly as she placed her hand over his.
"Yes" she muttered "He's going to be tall like his daddy" she smiled, as she leaned into him more, they sat like that for a while, this was the life she wanted. She may not have it with Asuma but Baki was still a good man.
It was strange, it really was, but she could tell the rest of her days were going to be happy.
#Regrets Nothing. Leave me alone, Baki needs more love. I also hope some one got why I named her daughter, Azumi :D Any way R/R!
