I don't own TW- RTD does. Although I'm sure I'd be able to write a better COE script. :(
Charm by the darkness revealed
Owen groaned silently to himself, as he held on for dear life. He knew that if he let go, he was in BIG trouble. He took a deep breath, feeling all the blood draining away from his face. Oh why had he let Jack drive the SUV? He glanced around, noticing Tosh looking pale, Gwen looking green, and Ianto looking positively scared. Jack, however, had a maniac grin on his face as he randomly twisted the steering wheel, just barely staying on the road. He sharply turned a corner and squealed to a stop, just in time to barely miss two girls crossing the street.
Owen swore silently, hoping they wouldn't sue. Unfortunately, the girls- who were actually university age- stayed where they were, obviously steamed.
"Jack," Ianto said. "Go apologize."
"No way!" Jack said. "It's their fault for crossing the road when I was driving!"
Ianto sighed, knowing that Jack wasn't going to change his mind. "Anybody else?" he asked hopefully. Owen shook his head, and Tosh and Gwen simultaneously said "No."
Ianto sighed again. "If I die, Jack can have my suits, but my sister gets everything. Oh, and Tosh can have my pink tie." He cautiously stepped out of the car and headed over to the women. 'Time to turn on the charm,' he thought.
Owen snickered as he watched Ianto walk over. "Who wants to bet they start hitting him with their purses?"
"Just wait," Jack said. "A charming Ianto is hard to resist."
Owen snorted skeptically, but his evil smile faltered as he watched the girls' expressions change as they realized how gorgeous Ianto was.
Ianto smiled his best smile. "Are you all right?"
The girls seemed a little short of breath. "Yes, yes we're fine!" they said in unison.
"I'm ever so sorry," Ianto said apologetically. "It's my friend- he just passed his driving test, and he's still, well, a little inexperienced."
"I know what you mean," the prettier girl laughed. "When my friend got his license, he insisted on driving me everywhere. It was horrible!"
Inside the car, Owen, Gwen and Tosh watched openmouthed as Ianto chatted with the girls. After a few minutes, he waved goodbye and walked back to the SUV, leaving the girls thoroughly charmed.
He got back into the car, smiling smugly. Jack stuck his tongue out at Owen. "I told you so."
And from this story Owen, along with us, learned a very important lesson: A charming Ianto is hard to resist.
