He missed her. That magnificent, feisty, brilliant Donna Noble. How long had it been since the whole escapade at the Medusa Cascade? That contrary woman with her stupid wedding dress and her stupid ginger hair and her stupid box of hats that he had never gotten rid of. It was still tucked away in her old room in the TARDIS along with all of the souvenirs she had accumulated during their travels. He never told the Ponds about her and her hats and how he would wear her silly hats when he felt nostalgic. Which was just as well since he figured Amy would probably hunt down the hats and make sure they never see daylight again.

If only she could see him now, she'd probably scoff at his bow tie and perhaps gossip with Amy about his baby-like face and his immature behavior. Just like when she met Martha and they started joking about getting paper cuts instead of hugs. He always wondered though, whether she got pockets in her second wedding gown, it seemed like something she might have done without quite understanding why. He never got around asking Wilf about that, he was pressed for time after all, with all that radioactive particles bouncing about in his body.

"Oi! Doctor! Hurry up, I wanna see the red lakes you were talking about!" Amy's voice resounded through the TARDIS corridors.

He grabbed a green fedora from Donna's arsenal of hats and perched it on his head. "I'm coming!" He yelled back as he tucked the hat box away and locked the door to Donna Noble's old room.
